What albums either inspired you or made such an impact on your life that whenever anyone mentions the 00's, you'd go straight to/think of that album? Which ones had a huge cultural impact?

I have a list that I'll put together later. But I'm intrigued to see everyone's favourites.

And despite not being released that decade, ABBA: Gold was pretty defining for me thanks to the Mamma Mia hype in 2008-2010 and The Essential Michael Jackson due to his death in 2009.

Take That - Beautiful World

KT Tunstall - Eye To The Telescope

Florence + The Machine - Lungs

Stripped definitely had a huge cultural impact. I'd argue that that album along with Justin Timberlake's Justified plus P!nk's Missundaztood (which came out the year before but was more dominant in 2002) and Britney's Britney (also 2001) all transformed the pop landscape. It feels like the 90s pop sound/the bubblegum era actually ended in late 2001/during 2002 and became more beat-driven and R&B or rock influenced afer that, partly due to these albums.

Breakaway really perfected the pop/rock genre too, and was pretty influential on that sub-section of music.

Beautiful World was influential in that it opened the door for just about every old pop band to stage a comeback, often with a mature sound.

Delta's two albums are just perfect  They may not have changed music, but they definitely had a major impact on my life.
