In eighth place is The Darkness' festive hit 'Christmas Time'. The song became the band's second consecutive Number 2 hit after 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' which was released earlier in 2003. 'Christmas Time' was part of the 2003 Christmas Number One race (unsurprisingly lol) and was the favourite to claim the prestigious title but eventually lost out to the more sombre 'Mad World'. The Darkness were actually on course to bag their first number one until 'Mad World' overtook on the final day. :drama: The song is rather enjoyable although I prefer listening to it alongside its video.

Justin again! I suppose Craig will be next but FMI is legit a 7/10 for me.

Meet Me Halfway again

I’m going with Black & Gold, no doubt I’ll be voting it forever.

Darkness deserved better, that's one of the best Xmas songs. Certainly more creative with the use of guitar!

Ruby Ruby Ruby RUBAAAAY. I thought this would be one of the first to fall.

I'm sad that the Black Eyed Peas look set to leave early, "Meet Me Halfway" was by far my favourite song from that era and it's my second favourite of what is left here in what looks like a generally weak poll. Frankee and The Darkness were two of the better songs as well.

I've gone for "Ruby" as I have since the beginning.
