Trying to listen to this in between calls at work is so hard. But thus far all I can say is: the ARTISTRY, the COHESION, the ATMOSPHERE that she has created is masterful

Also, the Cardigan MV is beautiful

Seven is amazing too
She’s a cheeky bitch for channeling the opening of August solely through the right earphone. Nearly had a heart attack thinking that my new earphones had broke already

This is a really lovely surprise. I really like this new direction and it's great to see her being a lot less brash than she was on the last couple of albums.

I'm hearing Lana style melodies on quite a few of the tracks, that similar classic vibe to it.

Hmm, I think this album will take a few listens to get into. I am finding a handful of the songs very similar which is making it difficult to distinguish between them.

The 1 is cute, I really enjoyed it. I think Betty is my favourite, it is very quirky and I love the progressive build.

Epiphany gave me goosebumps, it's the kind of song you just close your eyes to and feel your body floating with every breath. STUNNING.

I’ve just listened to this whilst I was on my usual Friday walk and wow!!

The entire thing was really strong and really cohesive I can’t even think of stand outs yet as everything was so strong.

I definitely think this is stronger than Lover and reputation on just one listen.

This is genuinely a real turning point for her I think! I’m loving the direction she’s went den for this era.

Exile is breathtaking.

The whole album is stunning! MS SWIFT DID THAT IN LOCKDOWN. SHE. DID. THAT.

To think this is the same artist that released 'ME!' last year... What a perfectly timed triumph. I now have complete faith in Taylor Swift as an artist that can easily navigate a new stage in her career and blossom beyond hits and commercial success. This album is a definite risk, but she must finally feel liberated after achieving everything to not care in a way she would have before — makes me think of Beyoncé and her self-titled.

The lyricism is great and even the moments of The National cosplay feel inherently her. I just want to bathe in the sounds and stories she has written — 'Mirrorball' especially.

Exile is heavenly 😭

Very that.

Rather predictably it's the only song that I've heard so far and I'm excited to listen to the rest now.

Given this a listen and firstly I need to applaud just how incredible it is that she has managed to put this together in lockdown! She clearly has spent the time writing and exploring her inner thoughts and feelings and it shows because the album continually delves into her mind and lets us in. I am super impressed with the lyrics and the melodies.

Having said that, will I return to this album as much as I do 1989, reputation and Lover? No. I wish there was more light and shade on the album and differing tones and vibes. That is just for me personally, because 16 songs on the same pace is quite a slog to get through. But that is just for me, and I wouldn't actually want her to change this, because it is a complete body of work and clearly is meant to be so, so my minor gripe is just for me selfishly and is not to take away from this as a cohesive package. I will give it more time and see what grows and catches my attention moreso because I found it hard to do so on just one listen!

I’m on my second listen of this and it is very strong as a whole package. I get what Haus means kinda maybe it sounds better when you’re in like a certain type of mood.. this is very strong though!

I hope they CD I ordered is the explicit version  does anyone know if they are from her store? I’m still working out what my favourites are I think over the weekend I’ll figure out what my main highlights are. I’m definitely here for this era though

ugh this just gets more and more perfect with every single listen :cheeseblock: I still can't believe this was record in just a few months and we didn't even know it existed just over a day ago!!!

inserts *I'm so used to giving and now I get to receive* gif <3

My exact thoughts!

'mirrorball' is the highlight for me.

Just had this happen to me

Not her recording the album at home and listing on the album info that the vocals were recorded at The Kitty Committee, I can't at her naming her studio that :cheeseblock:

I love her ahaha.
