November 3, 20205 yr There's a difference between criticism and going out of your way to express dislike and disdain time after time when it's not necessary or appropriate all while dragging other completely irrelevant to the discussion artists through mud. ... people already compared it favourably to Mariah and Janet, which is just untrue. So I compared it unfavourably to Tinashe and Jhené... what’s the problem? God you just can’t let somebody disagree with the mob Now can you please stop steering this thread off topic? November 3, 20205 yr I assume we wont be getting midweeks today with them not posted. Oh I hope we don't, I'm totally thrilled to read page after page of irrelevant nonsense about comparisons to Ariana.
November 3, 20205 yr There's a difference between criticism and going out of your way to express dislike and disdain time after time when it's not necessary or appropriate all while dragging other completely irrelevant to the discussion black artists through mud. I see what you’re trying to do with that edit. Ariana is not black. I mentioned two artists who make a specific modern subgenre of R&B that I’m not a fan that Ariana is clearly trying to replicate, but I love R&B overall... we’re talking about R&B, a black genre, so no surprise those two artists are black. I don’t like that subgenre overall but they do it better than Ariana and receive 1/100th of the recognition Edited November 3, 20205 yr by No Sleeep
November 3, 20205 yr Definitely see the Mariah comparisons but do not see the Janet comparisona at all? Mariah and Janet are world's apart musically when you listen to their albums. Mariah Carey & Janet r worlds apart musically??? thats weird even though they’re both classified as pop-r&b and they have shared the same songwriters , collaborators throughout their careers ... u have probably to dig in through Janet’s early 90s discography and Mariah’s more upbeat songs from the same period and u’ll get my point...

November 3, 20205 yr Well on that note x Ah you beat me to it  I'm really surprised to see Sam and Ariana so close! I was expecting Ariana to trounce Sam, could it be possible Sam could sneak the #1 spot?
November 3, 20205 yr Still no email from Ariana's store about CDs or cassettes being dispatched yet :( c'monnnn good to see her holding on at #1 despite that and the missing Spotify data
November 3, 20205 yr Bruce's second week is impressive! Exactly. Non-streaming artist easily getting second week with over 10k is not something you see everyday.
November 3, 20205 yr Eels did despatch yesterday, but it doesn't seem to have helped his chart position. After 2 top 10 albums it's a shame it looks like this one will end up outside the top 20.
November 3, 20205 yr is Sam's label not reducing the price of the album? it'd be easy to overcome such small difference if they drop the prices or do signed CDs etc
November 3, 20205 yr Exactly. Non-streaming artist easily getting second week with over 10k is not something you see everyday. His previous one did 14k in the second week too so that's clearly a pattern. Good for him!
November 3, 20205 yr only around 500 between Ariana and Sam, sams team need up to the anti as if they do they could get the number 1.
