Now that Ariana has officially been given a seventh UK #1, let's see how she does against other similarly big names! There's a mix of both classic and current names so it could get interesting.

Every performer with seven (no more, no less) UK #1s will go head-to-head to see which of these had the best. Here's each of their final/most recent #1 hits..

Ariana Grande – Positions

Elton John – Ghetto Gospel

George Michael – Fastlove

Jess Glynne – I'll Be There

Justin Bieber – I Don't Care

Kylie Minogue – Slow

McFly – Baby's Coming Back

Michael Jackson – Blood on the Dance Floor

Robbie Williams – Candy

Sam Smith – Promises

Tinie Tempah – Turn the Music Louder (Rumble)

U2 – Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own

Which of these is your fave? Does your fave artist here have the best song? Is this #1 their best? Simply vote in the poll and the top 2 will go through to the grand final. A new round will appear every 2 days, so get your vote in quickly!

I really wanted to vote 'Blood on the Dance Floor' because it's the most underrated MJ song, but I had to go for 'Promises' which is a career high for Sam.

'Fastlove', 'Slow' and 'Turn the Music Louder' are all worthy too.

Fast Love, never realised it was GM's last #1

Omg poor Ariana. Rather shocked at 'Earth Song' beating 'Rain On Me'...! Although I suspect it would have got through if people were voting for 2 songs as there surely must have been far more Kylie voters whose second choice would be 'Rain On Me' than 'Earth Song'.

Another pretty decent set of songs to finish on, voting for 'Ghetto Gospel' here, Ariana would be my second choice again.

Kylie wins this one for me.

But I really love the Michael Jackson song which I’d agree is very underrated despite its peak. Promises also snaps, I like Fastlove, I’ll Be There and positions is just sounding better and better as well. The U2 track as well is one of my favourites from them.

Only songs I’m not majorly keen on from this list would be Robbie Williams and McFly.

This is the weakest of the rounds for me.

McFly's single was actually a double A-side with 'Transylvania' which I absolutely love, so on the strength of that I've voted McFly (maybe the options could be edited to reflect that?)

Elton John – Ghetto Gospel [FAVE - incredible song & sample usage]

Justin Bieber – I Don't Care [one of the catchiest pop songs of recent times]

Sam Smith – Promises [brilliant collab]

Robbie Williams – Candy [very good considering how late on in his career it was]

Kylie Minogue – Slow [strong chilled pop tune]

Jess Glynne – I'll Be There [decent, nothing special]

Tinie Tempah – Turn the Music Louder (Rumble) [never play it myself but was alright]

Michael Jackson – Blood on the Dance Floor [one of his weaker songs]

Ariana Grande – Positions [meh]

McFly – Baby's Coming Back [meh [2]]

George Michael – Fastlove [couldn't hum it]

U2 – Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own [see above]

Strong final round here!

Voted for Kylie again! 'Slow' is my favourite of hers

07. Tinie Tempah – Turn the Music Louder (Rumble)

08. Robbie Williams – Candy

09. U2 – Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own

10. McFly – Baby's Coming Back

11. Justin Bieber – I Don't Care

12. Jess Glynne – I'll Be There

U2 – Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own

Michael Jackson – Blood on the Dance Floor

---

George Michael – Fastlove

Ariana Grande – Positions

McFly – Baby's Coming Back > 'Transylvania' would be top 3! <

---

Tinie Tempah – Turn the Music Louder (Rumble)

Jess Glynne – I'll Be There

Justin Bieber – I Don't Care

ADORE the top 2. Slight edge to Elton though. Watch Kylie struggle to go through with her best available option in this contest though! :')

I'm glad there are at least a few other people voting for 'Ghetto Gospel', I thought that might be a fairly unpopular choice here (because rap bad amirite etc.)!
Fastlove has to win this !!!

'Candy' gets it this time for me!

Unsurprisingly not a great list by the time you get to a seventh number one - in a dancey mood so voted for Tinie Tempah
