January 23, 20214 yr 5, the 2nd most out of anyone. (Jadakissnia got 6 and a few others got 4). That will help bump me up the year rankings with my inevitable 3 DNQs this year!
January 23, 20214 yr Jadakissnia slayage! *.* So satisfying to see it finish this high. Also two 7+ minute songs in the Top 5, clearly the length racism chapter of BJSC is over x
January 23, 20214 yr Thank you Tartford, Bhangra, Harmonica, Scherzland, Mulgracia, Dobago, New Lexico, Summericia, Greenfroze, Niceland, Ojnoj, Vulkyria, Singerpurear for voting for East Rukahavian. Bottom of the table, oh blimey Congratulations Dan.
January 23, 20214 yr About what I expected for my entry, thanks for the points everyone ^_^ congrats to Dan, and thanks for such a well-run contest Frank, you smashed it! Feel free to take a back seat next month y'all because I've already found the winner
January 23, 20214 yr Very happy with 17th! There was a little spell in the middle there that I really enjoyed. I can go back to not qualifying now  Well done to Dan & Frank was a brilliant host Massive thank you to those who voted for Weki Meki
January 23, 20214 yr So yay, this very good contest has finished up with very good results *.* I was totally expecting that having so many songs that cater to my taste would mean it all cancelled out to some extent leaving a very pop heavy top 10 but interesting that that didn't really happen at all in the end, instead we have probably the least poppy top 10 for quite some time! I voted for 7 of the top 10, and all of those were at least 5 points :o I had a good feeling that Worakls/VNV Nation/Namasenda/Trudge would all at least have a good shot at the top 10 so thrilled to see them ending up making up 4 of the top 5 <3 Perry Farrell and John 00 Fleming coming top 10 is a little more unexpected but excellent nonetheless (lmao at me predicting that Terra Avium would have a higher ceiling than Rolloland, my psychic skills are very rusty this month), and yay for Patrick Topping getting in there as well. GusGus was also a commiseration for me, the other 2 in the top 10 were ranked pretty low for me but I guess the pop bloc needs to have some representation :kink: Also happy to see Suedeonia in the top 15, Chestoria having a strong top 20 showing (not a fave song of mine but I'm glad their first time in the final wasn't a damp squib x) and Kathaldazia at least doing a lot better than their last few entries (though still deserved better x). And wow Iz was right about Skall, that's really blown past any expectations I could have ever had for it. Disappointing showings for FARC (they normally go top 10 with no effort, why have we ranked their best entry for years as low as 16th :'(), TARO Bellamia and especially Terra Avium which I guess turned out to be way more niche than I thought it'd be, ah well, at least it did get to have its day in the final so some justice was served for 'Lilith' :') Thanks for the fabulous hosting Frank <3 and looking forward to jetting off to Danæviia again for the next contest (and refraining from posting the pics on Instagram because that'd be irresponsible of course x)
January 24, 20214 yr Congrats Dan. Feels very satisfying to see your 18 pointer win. The instrumentals in general this contest were on top form in particular. That top 10 overall looks so strong *.* I'm mind blown at coming 2nd :o to think they didn't even qualify first time round and then do THIS well. It's crazy and I had no expectations for this despite loving it when it first came out in 2018. Wow. It's a bittersweet result actually. Terra deserved MUCH better than that though 😑 thanks for the hosting Frank, sorry again about the slight hiccup on my part! Edited January 24, 20214 yr by Rob S
January 24, 20214 yr Aahh, aah, well, at least you guys didn't upset me and let me qualify with my favourite entry since 118, but that is a little disappointing. Guess it means I can get away with entering DEMONDICE again in the future though, I may well do. Thanks very much to everyone who pointed it, you're great. More people to vote based on personality and attitude in the future please, because that's the only way I'll do well with the list of entries I'm planning. Excellent winner, I had a feeling after the final, congratulations Dan. Such power normally attracts attention. And a very good top 5 overall, some of the best songs picked there, so we did very well overall. Excellently well hosted Frank as well. And wow Iz was right about Skall, that's really blown past any expectations I could have ever had for it. Iz was right about many things, 4 of the top 5 marked as possible winners in my apparently 'picked at random' odds list :D Listen to me more often. But yeah, I figured, though I was giving 18 to Skall anyway, that it would easily stand out enough to smash at least a small barrier. Shame to see Séyetana in the bottom five, it was great fun and deserved better. I agree! Thanks for your support, I'm glad that some of my instincts of 'this person will like it' came true.
January 24, 20214 yr I will need to do a bit of digging to see if there has ever been a song that got the (joint) most votes while finishing as low as 14th before :o Looked this up now - this is indeed a new record, congratulations Lookylion continuing to rewrite record books :cheer:  The previous lowest placed song that had the most votes in its contest was Paradis' 'Instantané' (12th place for Flynnonda in BJSC 117, also being a case of joint most votes). That was the only previous song to do this while finishing lower than 7th (which means Patrick Topping also takes 3rd place in this particular stat). This is also only the third contest ever that has at least a three-way tie for the song with the most votes (following BJSC 30 which had a four-way tie, and BJSC 54 which was also a three-way tie). #funstats
January 24, 20214 yr Congrats Dan! It really was a great month for instrumentals so it's only fitting that one of them wins. Top 10 for Dobago's instrumental is very welcome too! Only 4 songs I voted for in the top 20, at least my points went to songs that needed them I guess :P Despite the points drought at the end, 32nd is still higher than I expected to finish when I first picked an entry. It was wonderful to spend the majority of the night in the top 20! Hopefully a taste of finally ending our non-top-20 streak this year. Thanks to New Lexico and Lotunia and anyone else I hadn't thanked yet. Great job hosting Frank, looking forward to our next visit to Land of DW, and to Danæviia next month!
January 24, 20214 yr congrats dan! great song and seemed like the standout. pleasantly surprised to see summericia run it so close! lookylion, FARC and klum rep much lower than i would've liked :( thrilled with 9th <3 stuck for next month tho...

January 24, 20214 yr Congrats Dan and well done and thank you Frank for hosting so brilliantly. Thanks to those who voted for Lone Wolf, very happy with a top 20 placing after a unanimous feeling that it would NQ. Special thanks to Bal and Thom for the double 18 - I felt like Moldova in Eurovision 2009! (Those who know will know!) Safe to say that Caerfyrddia’s bookmakers have ceased trading
January 24, 20214 yr Morning all! Catching up from page 8 :coffee: Really pleased with these results overall! Voted for 8 of the top 10 entries, great winner and Jadakissnia pulling off an unexpected top 5 finish as she should *.* 'Wooma' having some outside the niche appeal and ending our botttom 10 diva streak :w00t:  :hi: I wonder if Pagasa had voted, would it have sneaked top 20 and pushed Samantha ha radio 2 entry out? - Harmonica, Suededonia, Summercia, Niceland, Aelandor, Lotunia and Santa Haus giving us the much needed outside niche points - I feel BLESSED & couldn't be more grateful! - POPhun points as well OMG! Could this be a sign that the silent pop voters and Skype clique will start giving Kathaldazia the time of day in contests to come? - Also a MASSIVE thank you to FARC, Brade, Utopia, Doctor Bitch, JSG, lewwisha, Math, Chez, Addy (call me out if I forgot you! )- it means so much that our South African electronic curveball vibe continues to resonate with you all despite being a clearly acquired taste~ - Franktina - a swift, fun and flaw-free host congrats  - Pavel - from 7 to 0, bitch!
January 24, 20214 yr Wooooo! Well done Dan, I'm so glad that the best entry in the contest did have the crossover appeal required to win (or at least the major support it needed from enough non pop nations to do so). What a stunning entry, and the second month in a row that my 18 pointer has won. I adore all these instrumentals although I really could have picked a better month to send mine. Over 150 points is wonderful and much love to all the voters but ending down in 27th means it probably got swallowed up a bit by all the other instrumentals. A wonderful runner up too, I'm glad Rob had faith to send VNV Nation after they didn't do so well last time, as this was a brilliant entry that reminded me of Depeche Mode. Most of the rest of the top ten was good too - yay at Bøtanikkä just hanging in there in 10th. Shame to see Séyetana in the bottom five, it was great fun and deserved better. Also Tartford second last :( Retro 90s dance doesn't always work out then. Thanks very much for stellar hosting throughout Frank, great pace and a very enjoyable host. I’ve been listening to more of VNV Nation’s work over the last week or two and would describe them as like a cress between Depeche Mode and Placebo.
January 24, 20214 yr Congratulations to the people of Danaeviia for winning this edition, and thanks to the Land of DW for hosting this great edition! Also, thanks to the people of Utopia, Rep. of Andonia, Cumulonimbia, Vulkyria, Kathaldazia, the Kluminican Rep., Aeroche and Holland-Oats for the final points for my entry! See you all nrxt round!
January 24, 20214 yr Thanks for the fab hosting Frank, congrats Dan & Rob, and great to see Rolloland do well. :cheer:
January 24, 20214 yr Congrats Dan! I actually forgot about the Final results and was playing Among Us :lol I'm actually alright with my position down where I am. Considering it was a last minute reconfirmation I'm happy. Well done for the (almost) Flawless hosting Frank! I know it can be a nightmare x
