In third place is the 2009 smash 'When Love Takes Over' which gave David Guetta his first UK #1. The song was a massive success around the world - hitting number one in Belgium and Switzerland - while charting in the top 3 throughout Europe. The song however failed to set the US charts alight and had to settle for a #76 peak. For Kelly, the song became her second UK #1 after 2002's 'Dilemma' and has become one of her biggest hits in Europe at least. I enjoyed the song at the time but it lost its shine quite quickly. I just feel it lacks something... maybe that euphoria the title suggests..?

Vote for your favourite. :teresa: Also I'm debating whether to continue down the EOY chart with these survivors or to shake things up with a 2010 edition. Any preferences would be welcome. B-)

Gone for Avril Lavigne

I love both songs. The Bad Touch now reminds me of the sex museum in New York - a lyric from the song is posted on one of the walls!

Radio 2 playing When Love Takes Over as I type just to rub it in that it should have won. Still sounds fresh :P

The bad Touch to win.

I am pleasantly surprised at how well liked 'The Bad Touch' is on here! (Voted for that to win although I do like both songs)
I'm actually gonna go for 'The Bad Touch', it's just iconic and I get so much more mileage from it these days whereas 'Girlfriend' is a bit more "of the time" (although I probably would have picked it a few years ago)
