June 13, 20214 yr Yeah unless I am missing some reason it'd get a big boost this week I don't see how 'Heartbreak Anthem' would be anywhere even close to #2? I thought because the likelihood The Weeknd would dip and Doja/SZA would stagnate and the way 'Heartbreak Anthem' is still building momentum quite rapidly it could take advantage, but I just looked at the sales again and it's further behind than I thought so it does have quite a mountain to climb. But hey, the way 'I Wanna Be Your Slave' is going maybe that could throw us a surprise this week!
June 13, 20214 yr The sales are low in general right now. SYT is the lowest selling #2 since Latest Trends in March, and Kiss Me More did better few weeks ago when they were #5 than last week. HA's numbers at #6 are on the lower side too. Edited June 13, 20214 yr by Sour Candy
June 13, 20214 yr rooting for Lorde going top 20, I think top 10 is gonna be hard to get, on Apple she only went top 50 briefly and is already down a lot... and she's nowhere to be seen on Amazon... on the other hand, Måneskin are #5 on Spotify when taking out the ACR songs + doing well on Amazon on Apple, so top 10 come Friday seems certain
June 13, 20214 yr I Wanna Be Your Slave would be the first top 10 single by a guitar-driven band since..? Feels like absolutely ages! Near misses by 1975 and Coldplay in the past year is all I can think of. Still think the song isn't a patch on ZeB, but won't complain. Hope Wolf Alice stay top 5, I'm certainly not ready to stop streaming it on repeat yet and imagine it's the same for a lot of people. Masterpiece!
June 13, 20214 yr Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High by the Artic Monkeys in 2013? Anything since then?
June 13, 20214 yr The Kunts x Kunt and the Gang is the lead singer, but the other 3 members (Skidmark, f***sticks & Carsehole lol) are from his past bands
June 13, 20214 yr Good 4 U is also guitar driven and that's #1 (I know you meant bands but it's also an indication of more rockier music coming back in general)
June 13, 20214 yr There's also 5 Seconds Of Summer (they're more pop than rock but I think it'd be fair to call them 'guitar-driven').
June 13, 20214 yr Yeah unless I am missing some reason it'd get a big boost this week I don't see how 'Heartbreak Anthem' would be anywhere even close to #2? Heartbreak Anthem will peak when England lose a penalty shoot-out :(
June 13, 20214 yr There's also 5 Seconds Of Summer (they're more pop than rock but I think it'd be fair to call them 'guitar-driven'). and Portugal. The Man would be an obvious one!
June 13, 20214 yr If we are including the Xmas hits, surely Fairytale of New York is the biggest one.
June 13, 20214 yr Looking forward to seeing what sales Noel opens with! I'm hoping he can do at least 30k.
June 13, 20214 yr Any guesses if and where Three Lions will land on Friday? No idea. Without wanting to be prejudiced won't most of the people listening to that already have that on their ipod nano?
