Posted July 5, 20214 yr The second semifinal sees England take on Denmark. England are appearing in their third major tournament semifinal (including Nations League) in 3 years. Denmark are in their first semifinal since 1992 when they won the Euros that year. The game is live on ITV. Please use this thread for speculation, pre and post match chat on the England v Denmark game. How do you see this going?
July 5, 20214 yr This will be a much tougher game for England than against Ukraine as Denmark are a far better side. But much like the criticism that's levelled against England that they have not played a whole load of top teams and won, Denmark haven't beaten anyone noticeable either. Home advantage will play a huge part- really do think England will win this, but it will be a tight game and could easily go the full distance to ET.
July 5, 20214 yr I have my ticket sorted, quite comfortably the biggest game I will ever have attended (until Sunday I hope!). I am quietly confident that England will win, Denmark will provide a significantly bigger test than Ukraine however they've had more travel, England were able to give key players a decent rest and have home advantage. I do find comments about quality of opposition quite bizarre, almost like you're only worthy of being in the final if you've beaten Netherlands 1998 and Spain 2010 to get there. Most World Cup and European Championship winning teams probably have to beat two, maybe three, top quality opponents to win it.
July 5, 20214 yr England's record on ITV is terrible :( Another curse to break for this England team pls

Same here, I mean most people would say France were the best side in these Euros but the evidence proves they were just a group of individuals and not a team. When it comes to this game as I’ve said before Denmark from my experience watching them 2-3 times vs Ireland over the past few years they are one of the best teams in Europe albeit without top top club players. Think it’ll be close but England should win in the end!
July 6, 20214 yr Good thing is this England team/manager have played in a Semi final before so shouldn't get stage fright this time.
July 6, 20214 yr I am predicting Denmark to win. They seem to be an unstoppable force at the moment, although I think Italy will win against them in the final though. Edited July 6, 20214 yr by sn👠ke

July 7, 20214 yr I've just seen that ITV are starting their TV coverage from 6:30 PM which means there will be an hour and a half of build up before the match starts. That is WAY too long for a match that isn't even the final. What can they honestly talk about for that long?

July 7, 20214 yr 90 minute build-up for what could be a 90 minute match. Of course  Edited July 7, 20214 yr by Dobbo.
July 7, 20214 yr I’m going to be optimistic and say we’ll win. I think we’ve done well either way but I do have a different feeling this year for some reason
July 7, 20214 yr I really hope that Denmark win. Partly because that’s who I have in the sweepstake but mainly because there is nothing I want more than for the English media to shut. The. f***. Up.
July 7, 20214 yr It means more to the general public than the media though. I don’t like the media but I’m still supporting England to win Aside from that, I’m really impressed by the players and by Southgate. They’re doing an excellent job in terms of both play and the messages they’re giving out about inclusion and uniting over the game.
July 7, 20214 yr I was super confident of an England win up until today when I think it's gonna be quite a close game. Early goal please (followed by not a repeat of what we did in the 2018 semi).
July 7, 20214 yr Ukraine was going to be fine with sitting back but Denmark certainly won't. I think they had the most shots on goal of anyone after the Round of 16 or were close to it.
