Both Dave and Stormzy will have each had 2 albums reach #1. Out of all British rappers, only Plan B and the Streets have previously had 2 number 1 albums, ever.

 

Stormzy is still a bigger name, especially in the public consciousness - headlining Glastonbury and all of that - but both he and Dave are trailblazing with their music right now. Both of Stormzy's albums were nominated for the Mercury Music Prize, and Dave - having won the prize with his debut - will surely be nominated again next year.

I think he probably has a comparable if not bigger core fanbase but still think it's more likely that a random member of the general public would know who Stormzy is than Dave.

Glad to see Plastic Hearts back in the top 40 with its vinyl release. Hopefully it stays top 40.
