I guess you young warriors will say that it's unknown, but 'U Sure Do' was quite huge back then (top 5 in the UK, but a hit in Europe and Australia too).

Voted, wanted to give points to 13 in the end, so it wasn't too hard to narrow it down to 12.

 

 

 

 

 

I did think the Strike sampling song was far too close to the original.

 

I'll vote before the deadline if we need to but could definitely do with some time to allow growers, it does feel quite a short amount of time. I discounted about half a dozen that weren't my thing or thought just weren't very good on first listen, but only identified 5 I definitely want to vote for on a second listen through today, lots of stuff 2 listens in which is simply 'quite nice'

definitely more time is needed, it's impossible to do this after 1/2 listens...

I don't tend to like voting based purely on first impressions either — songs in previous contests did stand out immediately but they weren't necessarily the best or my favourites. The growers need a chance

Hope that Lapalux can do better here than they did for me in BJSC (as LPLX) back in 2018!

 

Not got my final votes yet, gonna listen again on the train journey up to Scotland tomoz and then try and find some internet to send it you Cody. : )

I'm guessing so based on the silence of the host and mods. Having a hard time, but have managed to narrow it down to 12 faves this morning.

I'm out later so I've sent my votes through. A good edition with lots of songs I liked, have no idea if I've scored everything fairly or not this time tbh
