It's a big Q4 this year, and this is before Adele gets added to the mix the following week!

Which album will likely be the last #1 before Adele hogs the spot for probably the 6 months that follow...

I think ABBA's second week will be pretty huge. Enough to keep Ed off.

I'm actually going to go with ABBA I think it'll be:

1 ABBA

2 Ed Sheeran

3 Little Mix

4 Taylor

5 Kylie

I’m gonna say Ed. I think ABBA will get the number one the week before but be massively front loaded, Ed could still be doing at least 100k in week 3 which will be bigger than any of the debuts

Also wouldn’t count Rod Stewart out for the highest debut that week

I think it will only be a two horse race between ABBA and Ed really, not that I don't expect decent sales from Taylor and Little Mix by the standards of any other week.

I'm gonna say ABBA will get a second week

I forgot about him, if a mod wants to add him to the poll!

I actually think it's going to be the biggest Q4 for the album charts in years, not just because of Adele and Ed, but I think we're gonna see some of the biggest numbers for 4/5/6 in ages.

Probably ABBA or Ed.

Does anybody think Ed's album might actually do better than Adele's? I've learnt not to underestimate Adele because I did last time and was wrong, but I don't think the album will do as well as 25, and Ed's album probably won't do as well as his previous couple either but I think his decline will be smaller than Adele's.

Obviously they are both hugely successful and will have mega-smash albums no matter what, but I'm saying I could see Ed doing 4 million sales long run and Adele 3.5 million for example, so I hope I don't upset anybody by saying this, and there's a good chance I'll be wrong anyway

Adele's album depends largely on the songs and if the public like them for longevity. But in terms of her single/album's first few weeks, she'll be absolutely unstoppable, i think. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Ed sells more overall though because he loves to play the game more than her, and the long game at that.

Who will be #1 ? : easily Ed Sheeran, because his streaming will be huge, much bigger than ABBA and Adele.

Highest Debut : Little Mix

I genuinely dont know how much Ed and Abba are going to sell.

It wouldnt shock me if both clear 200k first weeks but it also wouldnt shock me if they sell a lot less

I'm going with Abba for a second week with Ed just behind. I think an Adele, Ed and Abba top 3 will dominate the charts until Xmas!

Adele's last album opened with 800k+ first week right? Even half of that this time would be insane in today's climate

Once Adele drops until at least the first January chart I think the top 3 is sewn up. Even a major drop like Rihanna or Beyoncé UK wise wouldn’t get higher than #4 until early 2022.

I think ABBA will be #1 for two weeks though and I think they’ll sell more Xmas week too but Ed will then overtake in 2022 and his chart run will for sure be bigger.

I can see Rod and Taylor debuting ahead of Little Mix too but Little Mix will have the longer chart run as their streams will be big and with it being a hits album it’ll stay within the charts for a long while

Fearless opened with 21k and looks like she’s done around another 4k on vinyls released this week, so I’d say Red won’t open with much more than 25k. Little Mix have released a million formats but the single flopped so I’d say a similar amount for them, maybe 30k? I have no idea about Kylie, with only 3 different formats, only a month of preorders and it being a rerelease.

My prediction is:

1. Abba

2. Ed

3. Rod Stewart

4. Little Mix

5. Kylie

6. Taylor.
