Currently tracking to be the highest new entry on this week’s chart, Brighton rapper ArrDee is at Number 6 with Flowers (Say My Name). Interpolating Sweet Female Attitude’s Flowers and Destiny’s Child’s Say My Name, the song is set to become ArrDee’s third Top 10 single in the UK.

A real Ronseal track, does exactly what it says on the tin!

Looking like ABBA might end up doing even less sales than Ed which will come as a shock to many, including myself.

How so? I thought they had like 125k pre-orders.

Really strong start for Arr Dee!

Thanks for doing this Everton, good job!

Funnily enough it’s between Ed and Adele for tomorrow’s Billboard US Top 100 too but there ‘Bad Habits’ is finally predicted to get to no.1
Erm that’s DJ Cheeky Magpie to you!

Everton or Arr Dee?

I thought all the Billboard chart predictions had to be shut down (because of Billboard forcing a critical source to stop publishing figures which the predictions were largely based on). At the very least anyone still doing these predictions is bound to be much less accurate now. Would be good if 'Bad Habits' could indeed finally sneak a week at #1 in the US though, keeping up a good couple of months for British acts on the Hot 100. (having looked it up I see that the projected possible #1 is mainly because of CD singles shipping there)

'Shivers' being at #1 again at this stage suggests the Adele CD single is not selling amazingly well (unless there's just reporting issues with it). Small gap though and Adele will probably bounce back on streaming again later in the week so I expect she'll likely get the #1 back again, but it could be close.

'Bad Habits' at #1 in the US would also make it 3 #1s in a row for British artists over there! Anyone know when the last time that happened was?

The #1 before Easy On Me was INDUSTRY BABY, no? So only 2 #1s for British acts in a row if Bad Habits manages it.

July 1986 had 4 UK artists in a row at no.1 in the US - Billy Ocean, Simply Red, Peter Gabriel and Genesis at no.1. Couldn’t see any in late 80s and didn’t think worth checking anything later as UK artists did pretty badly overall.

9 of the UK top 10 pretty good too even if 3 by same artist - know that prob end up 8 with Coldplay dropping and Anxiety climbing by Friday

It'll still be the first time for a long time that there have even been 2 US #1s in a row by British artists - the last time was 'Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me'/'I'm Too Sexy' in February 1992. (Although more recently 'We Found Love' had its second run at #1 ended by 'Set Fire To The Rain' so that was the last time a song with a British artist on it was knocked off #1 by another one, but 'Sexy And I Know It' was #1 between the two chronologically).
I don't know when it went on sale, but the cassette single of 'Easy On Me' is now available to buy from Adele's online store. I had checked a few days ago and it was still showing as not yet being available. £5 for a few minutes of music is a bit steep though.
Cold Heart for US #1!

Honestly, I think it may have a shot at it once Christmas is over/songs rise up again in the new year!

I really don’t know anyone gives any credit to the Billboard charts as it includes airplay. IMO a chart should just consist of streams and sales.

Playlists are basically radio play these days anyway.
