November 15, 20214 yr I'm assuming damon albran,, ronan keating and possibly the wanted are are 6, 7 and 8 with Kylie at 9.
November 15, 20214 yr I believe it is stupidity rather than irony but I agree with you. Just Carol Honey  I said it's OK but I jsut pointed out. P. S Don't call me dumb, I'm way smarter than you. Idiot.
November 15, 20214 yr What is the truth concerning signed CDs? Are they really signed by the artist? Or is it done by their office staff? Or is it printed to look like a real signature? I can't imagine any artist actually signing thousands of CDs. Edited November 15, 20214 yr by ben08
November 15, 20214 yr Nearly, but not quite! The Wanted: 1. Standard CD 2. Deluxe 2CD 3. Tom CD 4. Jay CD 5. Siva CD 6. Max CD 7. Nathan CD 8. Group Cassette 9. Tom Orange Cassette 10. Jay Dark Blue Cassette 11. Siva Green Cassette 12. Max Light Blue Cassette 13. Nathan Red Cassette (Vinyl isn't out until 31st December) Little Mix: 1. Black Vinyl 2. Orange Vinyl 3. Yellow Vinyl 4. Green Vinyl 5. Jade Pink Vinyl 6. Perrie Blue Vinyl 7. Leigh-Anne Red Vinyl 8. Standard CD 9. HMV Slipcase CD 10. Deluxe 2CD 11. Super Deluxe 2CD Book 12. Box Set [Vinyl/CD/Cassette] 13. Jade Pink Cassette 14. Leigh-Anne Red Cassette 15. Perrie Blue Cassette (It seems the 3 picture discs were cancelled?) A reasonable amount of effort was put into the folklore different vinyl versions - all of these aspects differed across each version: the colour of the vinyl, the back cover image, the gatefold images, the images on the sleeves. The only identical element about the releases was the music. Taylor may have played the same "multiple formats" game as other artists have in recent years, but Red (Taylor's Version) is a positively restrained 1. CD and 2. Vinyl, in the UK. However they have way more bundles and random advent calendar bundles.... I don’t really get the comparisons? It’s like everyone’s making out everyone who releases multiple formats deserves it less?
November 15, 20214 yr What is the truth concerning signed CDs? Are they really signed by the artist? Or is it done by their office staff? Or is it printed to look like a real signature? I can't imagine any artist actually signing thousands of CDs. Most agree for Taylor at least she's signing them. The trust she has with her fans is why they always come back with such strong support each era. Also she's tweeted multiple times/videos about her hand signing every one so I doubt she'd be so 'loud' about it if they were autopened. Someone worked out she just has to sign a couple hundred a day between each album to build up the big drops she does with each of them, which I wouldn't put past her. She likes being on top and is willing to put in the work for it.
November 15, 20214 yr However they have way more bundles and random advent calendar bundles.... I don’t really get the comparisons? It’s like everyone’s making out everyone who releases multiple formats deserves it less? The advent calendar unfortunately doesn't benefit them this week anyway, it's not released until Friday 19th November! My comparison was really just to show that it isn't the case that The Wanted have more formats than Little Mix. Personally I have absolutely no problem with artists doing multiple formats, I'm regularly someone who is buying different formats of my faves lol. The more the merrier... so long as OCC don't have restrictive rules for albums, it's fair game for these artists to do this. As Feel the Fever says, no one is forced to buy it all, after all. I appreciate that the option is there for fans to collect what they want to and support the artists. Though I have to admit I would find it ultra impressive if Taylor is able to get to #1 on the strength of two physical formats (obviously downloads and particularly streaming are massively beneficial for her, but she certainly could have been helped out even more with multiple formats available).
November 15, 20214 yr I only see it as a 2 way battle for #1 between Taylor and ABBA. Taylor won't drop off as quickly as Little mix with her much better streaming and I'm assuming ABBA are already outselling little mix daily by a fair margin because of the pre-orders that will be boosting that 1st mids for Little Mix. 1 and 2 Taylor and ABBA, 3 and 4 battle Little Mix and Ed.
November 15, 20214 yr I think with Red the fact she had the """""signed""""" CDs up for almost two days, counts for more than many variants, especially since she only does VERY limited (a hundred usually) signed CDs in the U.K. and they sell out in minutes. She doesn't need loads of different vinyls if she has those.
November 15, 20214 yr Those sales are lower than I expected for ABBA. I assume they'll take it Friday though as Taylor/Little Mix will be quite frontloaded. Might be close between ABBA and Taylor though!
November 15, 20214 yr Would be very interesting to know the Sunday numbers for the top 4 albums if anyone has them!
November 15, 20214 yr An exciting chart battle, hoping Taylor comes through. Still haven't had by signed copy....must be loads ready to be shipped so should get it.
November 15, 20214 yr What is the truth concerning signed CDs? Are they really signed by the artist? Or is it done by their office staff? Or is it printed to look like a real signature? I can't imagine any artist actually signing thousands of CDs. They're definitely not prints. I think it's perfectly plausible that they would spend a few hours over a few days signing a few thousand. Ed reckons he's signed tens of thousands which sounds ridiculous, especially as he doesn't exactly need to do it. But on balance I still believe him. I just think most artists would have more integrity than to cheat their fans in that way. And if the truth got out it would be really damaging.
November 15, 20214 yr Unfortunately I have known people at labels who have been lumbered with the signing CDs job before. I would have expected Taylor not to be one of those artists but the sheer volume of signed CDs she has sold here has me suspicious. Edited November 15, 20214 yr by 365
November 15, 20214 yr Well the Beatles autographs were forged by their road managers! I'm sure it still exists today.
November 15, 20214 yr Unfortunately I have known people at labels who have been lumbered with the signing CDs job before. I would have expected Taylor not to be one of those artists but the sheer volume of signed CDs she has sold here has me suspicious. I’m sure loads still do it. Let’s face it we’ll never know. It’s impossible to know really unless autopen is used... Because no one can sign thousands of an item and have the same signature throughout. Ed / Taylor signing literally thousands and thousands is really suspicious to me.
November 15, 20214 yr I am so shocked Rod isn't up there I was convinced he would be the highest new entry. I hope Little Mix clinch it now! I told you all he wouldn't be... :P
November 15, 20214 yr Of course they don't sign them. I still think it's hilarious people think Elton John in his 70s sat signing thousands of cd singles. Susan from the label 'we will record you signing one and the intern will sign the rest'.
November 15, 20214 yr There's at least 120 Scottish gay men out there with forged Cilla Black autographs that we did for a giveaway in our local club. The label rep gave us four boxes of (whatever her GH 2002 album was) stock to give out and we thought it would be a laugh to sign them. We got 120 H & Claire albums too, but those actually were signed.
November 15, 20214 yr Of course they don't sign them. niall signed it last era, well... https://twitter.com/polaroids_ljp/status/1234519824614731778 https://twitter.com/SPIDEYL0U/status/1239974035875713025 https://twitter.com/NiallOfficial/status/1240249394408181761  Edited November 15, 20214 yr by Rafael x
