November 16, 20214 yr I haven't heard 'I Drink Wine' yet but at least I'm now fully prepared to be underwhelmed.
November 16, 20214 yr Hot take: 'I Drink Wine' is not that interesting of a title, it just stood out compared to literally every other song title on the album sounding like 'generic song title generator' output (not that that will have any bearing on the quality of the music of course but still)
November 17, 20214 yr ^I disagree, think it's a super cool and super interesting title but actually we haven't heard the album version, might surprise us
November 17, 20214 yr ^I disagree, think it's a super cool and super interesting title but actually we haven't heard the album version, might surprise us I am reserving judgement until we hear that and see the video. The label must have an idea of what songs will get the most interest on release so doubt they would make the song the first post album release single if they didn’t have faith in it. Would be embarrassing otherwise if it gets blocked from charting due to the 3 track rule, if the general audience pick up two different songs (alongside EOM).

November 17, 20214 yr Roughly 30k signed CDs have been added to Taylor's total. She a massive lead now. Wow! I got one earlier for a Christmas present, so that's two sales from me this week (as long as it's added this week - it said 'awaiting more stock' or something along those lines) Edited November 17, 20214 yr by gooddelta
November 17, 20214 yr Taylor keeping her streak she’s had since Reds original release! My copy still hasn’t arrived and by looking at my bank I’ve had the money sent back to me! I hope I still get it this week. Edited November 17, 20214 yr by Jord
November 17, 20214 yr If you've got a load of CDs or prints lined up, you can actually do about 30 autographs a minute (I tried it myself for fun!). So a few thousand is relatively easy. 30,000 would take 16 hours though. I guess 2 hours a day for a week would do it... though it is surprising that megastars that sell well anyway feel the need to bother. On the other hand, the more you do, the bigger the impact. It's not worth Ed Sheeran doing 1000 signed CDs when he'll sell those anyway. But 30,000 is the difference between another week at number 1 I guess. Edited November 17, 20214 yr by AcerBen
November 17, 20214 yr Pleased that Taylor is going to get it and we’re going to end up with a strong set of sales in the Top 10. I really can’t predict how sales will be going forward for albums in Q4 though - we’ve already had some surprises and this year really feels like the last hurrah for the huge physical sales increase that were used to in the build up to Christmas. Can’t wait to see what Adele delivers - at the moment I can’t decide wether she will have a 300k or 700k week, Market trends don’t apply when Adele releases

She signs them in the gaps between albums, Fearless to RED was 7 months so signing batches over a couple months is really not unrealistic at all. Wonder how high she'll go if the newly added signed CDs ship before Friday too Edited November 17, 20214 yr by AJ.

Also she could have been signing them for weeks/months - it’s feasible that artists can and do sign large amounts over an extended period.

Do you honestly think she’s sat there and signed 30,000 in the Uk alone plus the US ones and the worldwide ones! Interns been busy :)
