It's rare to get proper updates for albums before Monday, it usually happens with release weeks with a lot of hype like ABBA and Adele. Doubt it has anything to do with Westlife in the slightest
Hopefully Adele stays at #1 in both charts this week. Would love to see her do 100k+ but think she'll more than likely do 60-70k.

Adele is ahead on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and Apple. I’d be surprised.

Why would no articles be released just because Westlife are in front? (which I highly doubt).

The band could easily say on social media they are challenging for the top spot and encourage fans to buy regardless of an official OCC announcement which are few and far between and only usually get reported on when there is a big album release or chart battle.

It's a conspiracy to keep them off the top dummy :arrr:

Not the mighty Westlife being sabotaged by OCC :cheeseblock:

Westshite and their fan base are worse than the Salty Mixers and tje Cowell band!!! I forgot for a hot minute who the real enemy is!!!
I think around 80k for Adele for this week, which will be more than enough to stay at #1. Mind you, she also has some huge streaming numbers to add.

I'm quite surprised at how well her album is holding up streaming-wise! It's doing very well, even amongst the Christmas takeover. It looks like she'll do 3-5k/day from streaming alone for a while!

Also I wouldn't be surprised if Westlife were ahead on Friday/Saturday. They likely had a decent amount of pre-orders, but Adele will overtake them come Monday I would think.

I’d be really surprised if Westlife were ahead of Adele at any stage this week!

But maybe I’m just underestimating them against Adele. Can easily see them being comfortable at #2 but expected Adele to still lead comfortably in albums even before streamings counted for.

Assuming Westlife are going to put in a decent showing (40k+ for the week say), and Adele will do the 50-80k most of us are expecting, they absolutely should be ahead at this stage.

They have a decent fanbase still which would pre-order/buy on day one. Adele was on 233.5k on Thursday's midweek and ended with 261k. But taking into account missing streaming data and Amazon prime delivery, she was likely on ~240k. So she sold ~20k Thursday in total. So she likely did ~15k Friday with missing streaming data and I wouldn't be surprised if Westlife managed 25k. I don't think Westlife will do as well this time round as they don't have that many formats. They have a normal and deluxe CD/Download and an Amazon exclusive cover for one of the CDs. No Casette or Vinyl. They did 50k in 3 days last time and ended up at 63k by the end of the week. I think they'll be on ~40k come Monday and end the week with ~50k. Adele will likely do half their sales from streaming alone.

The sat mids info is sent to labels every week

But rarely shared so most weeks we dont know

If we do is if some nice people care to share

But its not published articles like charis mentioned

In his delusional post number 36782739203 ;)

Westlife should 100% be ahead on Sat mids

It would probably take 15k to do so

This.

I'd be very surprised if Westlife aren't ahead at this point as they would have all the pre-orders etc in their favour and they are a physical selling act. I think they would need to be at least 20-30K ahead to stand a chance by the end of the week though.

I cant see Westlife selling the same as they did with their last album, I think it will be closer to 50k than 60 and I dont see Adele selling less than 50k so I think Adele will hold on. I'm hoping Gary Barlow can do enough to get a 5th solo top 10 album.

I think the same, Westlife had the hype of it being their comeback album last time and had 2 Top 30 singles which helped - they done pre-sale for their tour with album orders again with this album which will give them a boost.
