If they actually use an algorithm that is in any way sensible they should at least be able to extrapolate from Amazon data but there's really not much point in speculating over how their algorithm works because I don't think the details of it have ever been made public :lol:

He's been falling throughout the other midweek updates even when others are rising, I would guess he'll drop out unless the algorithm is extremely stupid (which is entirely possible). He theoretically should have 100% accurate numbers since he is only getting streams from Amazon of course, which means the upweighting of streaming for other songs just below it should likely push a few of them ahead.

Adele should reach 100,000 now.

Gary Barlow not as certain to make it to 20,000 but will come close.

I hope George ezra can stay top 40.

It's amazing to have two true Platinum certifications (ABBA, Adele) in 2021 year.

Possibly Ed will hit 300k in pure sales on Christmas week or in January.

Surely the main reason George Ezra had dropped through the week is that the proportion of days of Amazon data to Spotify+Apple has fallen from 3:2, 4:3, 5:4, and in the last mids is 5:5 - so should in theory now settle in relation to the Christmas songs around it. It's unclear whether it'll end up that yesterday's Amazon data is counted for real or estimated, but either way he's climbed to new highs there in the last couple of days, so I'd expect him to stay Top 40.

I think George will stay, Thu's update didn't have Amazon data, thats why he went 32-40

Happy GAYLE is doing well although slightly gutted that I Drink Wine didn’t manage to nab a no2 peak but hopefully it’ll just about keep No3.

Oh I didn't realise Amazon data was missing in yesterday's update - in that case George might hang on.
