Adele looking like she should definitely hit 100k for her second week, not bad not bad.

 

GAYLE reaching as high as #2 already feels wrong somehow but I guess she hasn't blown up quite as quickly as Olivia Rodrigo did - in any case definitely looks like a very likely #1 in the new year.

Adele looks on track for 100k once you take into account missing streaming data (Amazon missing data for once too)! Really great sales for her second week. I hope she can do really well in week 3 too.

Adele might just fall short of 100k on the albums chart. It looks to have slowed down a little towards the end of the week.

Great to see Gayle at #2 I really hope she can hold on, especially with Mariah and Wham on ACR I think she has a good chance!

She would be over 100k even without accounting for streaming upweighting if she just had the same or even a slightly smaller increase than she did from yesterday to today, I don't see how she'd fall short.

I think Gayle will stay at #2, but expect the three below to be overtaken by those two Christmas songs once the December streaming data is added.

I wonder how on Earth the OCC’s algorithm will estimate Thursday streams for the Christmas songs when they’ve spiked up at the weekend, fallen back and then spiked again on Wednesday. :unsure:

If they actually use an algorithm that is in any way sensible they should at least be able to extrapolate from Amazon data but there's really not much point in speculating over how their algorithm works because I don't think the details of it have ever been made public :lol:
