Album sales must be pitifully low this week, it would have been the ideal week for someone to take advantage and get a number one with a new release.

Yes! Go on Sam, really chuffed its at No2. Was worried the Christmas tirade was going to prevent it reaching its peak. Not surprised to see Ed still no1 on albums, I feel he could just sit there by default for the next week or two.
It certainly appears Tell Me Something Good hasn't been reset. I'm now thinking a bunch of tracks could still get reset by the end of the week, including that, Overpass Graffiti and Coming For You.

I guess if they’re about to push The Joker And The Queen it would only make sense for them to ask for a reset for Overpass Graffiti if it’s heading for a new peak in the Top 3, which I doubt it is.

The labels definitely ought to ask for resets for Coming For You and Tell Me Something Good. Fingers crossed the latter can be reset and make the Top 10.

haha how come is A-ha in the top 100 in singles? :) don't recall seeing it doing well on any streaming outlet

maybe they accidentally gave it a reset hahaha :D

Hopefully Sam sees how close he is behind and does some sort of push on social media

also coming for you deserves a much better chart run, hopefully a reset for that too.

Dissapointing to see Ewan at #25 at least it should manage a couple of more weeks top 40 though.

Edited by Ho-Lee Smokes

"Enemy" up to #15, "I Drink Wine" and "Oh My God" back in the top 20, "The Motto" #36, "When I'm Gone" #75.

Lots of old songs re-entering as well due to New Years playlists. A lot of those will likely fall out come Friday.

Adele's 30 #2 behind Ed Sheeran still. I guess Ed's massive streaming will keep him ahead of Adele now unfortunately. Maybe she'll manage to overtake come Friday, although I doubt it.

It was quite high on Amazon earlier in the week due to New Years playlisting. Quite a lot of other songs that did really well on Amazon due to that are in the chart as well such as ABBA "Dancing Queen"/Queen "Don't Stop Me Now"/Whitney Houston "I Wanna Dance With Somebody"/Fleetwood Mac "Everywhere".

Some of those did well on Spotify/Apple Music too.

YESSSS! Sam af #2, Lost Frequencies close to Top 20 and the Motto on for a Top 40 peak! What a fabulous update.

I just hope Sam stays ahead of the Bruno song, that's now ahead of it on all major streaming platforms :/

It’s bad enough that Bruno thing is in the top 10 without it finishing any higher.

Also here for Sweet Talker going top 40 :cheer:

Agreed. Nice to see a slightly more sizeable hit for Years & Years in this era, I think the NYE performance has been some much needed promotion for them with the album round the corner.

An interesting re-entry:

#92 Melanie Martinez - Cry Baby

It's quite amazing how well this album does on streaming. All but 2 of the 16 tracks have over 100 million streams on spotify and the album has over 2.5 billion streams combined.

Given the small drop since the First Look i'm thinking Cold Heart and Bad Habits will slip down another couple of positions by Friday so we could still be in for more new Top 10 peaks given the tracks directly below them.
I’m not surprised to see LM “only” at 4.
so last year we got some resets midweek and some resets by the end of the week?
