If they hate it, they should create a Xmas chart and move them Quite simply that you seriously think Adele herself asked for the reset (or even cared enough to), rather than it being orchestrated by her label.
January 5, 20224 yr Well I suppose the record climb of 37 places within the Top 40 will be equalled, so there's that. It's still frustrating that they implement one set of ACR rules for songs that are rising/falling organically, then decide they aren't working so create new rules that are completely open to discretion. Goes against the whole 'chosen by you the public' ethos. At least normal service will resume soon.
January 5, 20224 yr I mean why wouldn’t they ask for a reset for Adele to give it a few more weeks at No 1? I’m surprised at the weird overreaction. They can still start pushing the next singles at the same time, though with Oh My God and I Drink Wine already being top 5 hits it doesn’t seem that likely they’ll repeak anyway. It's just grating because at any other time of the year they wouldn't have been allowed that because of it already been a #1 hit so why bother with this at label request free for all this week?

January 6, 20224 yr Can easily see R1 skipping ‘The Family Madrigal’ on Friday but would be fun if they do play it! Isn't the general rule of thumb new entries are played but re entries will be skipped. Nothing in family madrigal to suggest it's unplayable for PC reasons
