I thought The Weeknd's album sales would be a little higher! Hoping that means The Wombats will have a decent shot at the #1 next week.

'After Hours' had 11.5k in the Monday midweeks and that was with a physical release. Thought it was pretty obvious this album would do less well after the lead single didn't make that much noise (and just because of general overexposure) so 8.3k doesn't seem particularly bad to me. The Weeknd is not really a massive album seller.

But 'Shallow' being down 5 places from last week's midweek to #68 is clearly the most important chart news of the week :cheer: :kink:

Ah that's fair enough, I think I'd overestimated the sales of 'After Hours' tbh

Shivers has dropped a fair bit so I reckon Gayle might even be on course for a bona fide #1!

That’s really strong showing at this stage for Bruno - maybe it’s not out of the running after all.

Considering the closeness between #8 and #12 The Weeknd might end up with nothing in the Top 10. :(

Adele might get a boost on Wednesday with Oh My God music video dropping, will probably help Easy On Me get additional streams!

We need easy on me remix please

Gayle is getting on for double Take My Breath at #12 and more than double the song at #17, so with Shivers between the two I'd say a bona-fide #1 this week is almost assured. I think this might be a week too early for the Bruno song, but who knows...

The Weeknd has never been an album seller

Thats whyhe wisely waited until Jan to release

Not crazy about any of the contenders in singles

Rooting for Gayle as she was robbed last week

just realised we dont talk about bruno has huge youtube views

yesterdays views

we don't talk about 820,362

abcdefu 382,688

Adele 344,595

I honestly think if the song starts a lead on Spotify it has a chance

Those are really good figures for The Weeknd considering he has no physical though? The CD ships 28th January and Casette/Vinyl 29th April from what I can see on his store. So the album will get a couple boosts in the coming months.

Really close between Adele and Gayle! Will be an interesting one to watch. The release of the "Oh My God" video could be the deciding factor funnily enough.

I kind of hope there's a plot twist and "We Don't Talk About Bruno" gets to #1 instead. It recently outdid all predictions for the Hot 100 last week. It was expected to be just outside the top 10 but ended up going top 5! Given it's only 2.6k behind Gayle it's possible? It's gaining quite the lead on Gayle on youtube, although she's ahead on all other platforms, albeit not by much!

Tbh anything other than EOM would be a much preferred number 1 this week even if it is 'Bruno'. It isn't everyday a Disney track comes along and snatches the top spot.

Poor TMB not getting a repeak with the album boosting. TM falling out of the top 40 urgh :( hopefully it climbs back in by Friday.

Central Cee farts out yet another (no doubt unlistenable) single and it charts. Great!

Daily sales from Sunday:

6.3k GAYLE

6.1k We Don't Talk About Bruno

5.8k Adele

4.4k Lauren

Obviously great for Bruno but with a 2.6k gap to make up and it still selling less daily than abcdefu yesterday, I'm not sure this will be the week for it but it's looking like it has a good chance next week at this rate! We'll see I suppose.

Did you expect it not to? :P

Fair play to Gayle if she gets to #1 after having it snatched midweek last week.

Can Sacrifice start gaining some serious traction since its the best thing in that Top 10 apart from SGU which has clearly already peaked.

Looking at the midweek sales I believe We Don't Talk About Bruno is going to be the highest charting Disney movie song in UK chart history

Just be happy it's not in the Top 20
