Taylor sold more than that on physicals alone in one week so not quite

(also most of Harry's numbers do come from people streaming the actual album)

Don't forgot the Arctic Monkeys also sold over 100,000 physicals that week too....

Aw at 'Dandelions' dropping out considering its incredible run for a non top 40 hit but I guess it could only last so long inside the EOY Top 100 and against other older hits streaming like hot cakes still.

Oh I know the exception to the great figures for Taylor. My point was being sarcastic at the comment about people having songs on playlists which make albums sell, but that’s the way it is now.

It's now looking touch and go whether Kate will make the YE top 5 with Shivers closing the gap in the weekly charts. As it stands, the top 10 accounts for 28 weeks of the official #1 during 2022, although I expect Bruno with 7 of those will drop out.

What with end of year playlists + the year in recap shows coming up I suspect Kate will get a better boost than Shivers. Whether it is enough to stay ahead is another matter, but I hope so.

Did no songs leave the year to date 100 this month?

Just Night Away and Obsessed With You.

Looking unlikely to hold on are Black Magic, Big Energy and Oh My God.

Hope ‘Midnights’ or ‘Harry’s House’ ends up as album no1, symbolise the year pretty well.

Didn’t realise there are so many 2021 songs in the singles top 10, impressive for ‘Bad Habits’!

Positions 3-7 all very close. Could Ed get 3 of the top 4 - that must be a record if so?

Plus no idea that the Jonasu track (imagine that is the 'Black Magic' track )was top 100 in the EOY so far. I'd forgotten it gladly from last year.

New additions to the YTD Top 100 this week at the expense of Oh My God and Big Energy:

Cuff It, and…

Everybody Wants To Rule The World :o :o

I expect Mariah and Wham! will be there in a week or two, and only one of this year's #1s won't end up making the EOY top 100 (clue: the one which will surely be Christmas #1).

Last year the Pogues and Shaky made it too, so maybe Brenda and Buble can this year. Although I think the cut off is gonna be higher so maybe not

Black Magic leaving the YTD Top 100 this week and being replaced by Not Over Yet, though think the latter may be pushed back out next week as Whamariah enter. That’s What I Want will also be dropping out (Industry Baby should just cling on).

In the Top 40 think Forget Me, AIWFCIY and Last Christmas will ultimately replace Good 4 u, House on Fire and BMW.

Happy for those three #1s of this year to replace the other tracks in the top 40. For the top 100, Not Over Yet doesn't feel that big a hit despite reaching #4 twice. Shame to lose That's What I Want as it missed out last year, I hope Tears For Fears hang on but didn't expect them to be there at all.
Can you imagine if Harry Styles didn't exist (or didn't release an album this year or released it later or had a less commercial lead single) then Bad Habits would be year-end #1 twice. Bad Habits has been a smash single for Ed, no doubt about that, its first day streams do not matter at all now haha. Although it was quite surprising at the time still.
