Black Country, New Road at #35 today, their debut only had the one week in the top 100 (even in the midweeks) so this is new ground for them

Zeal & Ardor #65 :cheeseblock: assuming that's not nearly enough for them to stay top 100 but cool to see them at least make a midweek appearance.

Lol at the OCC credits for the Fivio Foreign song actually billing Kanye West as just 'Ye'. (edit: beaten to that observation x)

A Wave Across A Bay is on 7” vinyl from Frank’s store.
the OCC is really confused with TJATQ atm arent they? Crediting Taylor in some places, not in others? They need to sort it out!

Amazing for Frank Turner, not surprised with Alt-J, it’s a really strong album but there has been zero hype for it.

Lovely to see Viola Beach back in the Top 10 following on from a vinyl release - I’m guessing it will be front loaded but will hopefully hold on to a Top 15/20 position, either way it’s good to see the love still there for them after all these years and shows what they were destined for.

There is no way Ed is letting TJATQ tank - prime time TV exposure, superstar guest singer etc., - fully expecting signed Taylor CDs to pop up too next week.

Next week's album chart is looking like Ed/Adele could return to #1, unless Bad Boy Chiller Crew make it! Which wouldn't surprise me tbh, they seem to have a decent fanbase.

Think Kanye is releasing Donda 2 half way through week, should have enough to secure top spot!

Oh that's a little better than I thought for alt-J then, it's just that Frank Turner has already blown significantly past the opening total of his last album (which only did just under 9k first week). The two albums before that from Frank did 17.4k and 16k respectively so this album is kind of just returning to form I guess, not sure if there was any particular reason for the dip in his sales for the last album!

alt-J still definitely coming for a drop from their last album's sales but hoping they might be able to get over 10k again (might require them to pull out some fake cassettes x).

This is Kanye, the chance he actually drops on the date he announced is pretty slim :kink: (and there's a very significant chance the album just never comes out)

Whilst I would agree with you ordinarily but with Release event scheduled for 22.2.22 (or 2.22.22 in US format) think it may just happen then.

Maybe #2 isn’t out of the question for Sam this week - #2 to 5 are very tight and I’m guessing he’s not far behind #5.
agree, think Sam might end up at #2 come Friday
Going by the daily sales Sam would need to pick up a bit to get to #2, he's currently looking at #5 max (with Ed dropping behind).
Nice to see George Ezra continue to climb albeit very slowly. And Luude back in top 10. Belters Only doing incredibly well - not as good as Luude but nice to have a different kind of dance track so high up.

I expect Foxes will enter when the CD comes out (although I could still see her missing the top 40 anyway).

Haha I was almost tempted to say that the release date gimmick raises the chance of it dropping on time from 1% to 10%.

Why is the CD not out yet?

Good enough start for James Morrisons greatest hits, with his sales so far he is safe to stay top 10.
Quite likely since it's only out on streaming/download at the moment, the CDs are released on the 25th apparently

I don't understand why labels do this, with an act like Foxes they would surely want it to chart as high as possible? With the CDs being released separately this will more than likely cost it a top 20 position. Not that it's a brilliant album or anything (it's not as good as her first two) but I've always had a bit of a soft spot for her so it's a bit of a shame.
