then finally I have heard the Turnstile song too, I'm hoping that one will be a grower revisiting it here as I remember liking it but not quite as much as a couple of the other singles from this album (mainly 'ALIEN LOVE CALL' and 'BLACKOUT') - after 'Yes I Need My Generator' criminally DNQed a couple of years ago I'm not sure I'd have predicted that we'd see another Turnstile entry before another Mall Grab entry!

 

I wasn't sure which song by Turnstile to send, I didn't necessarily think Fly Again would have the most appeal but I've started listening to the album a bit and it's certainly my favourite of their singles from it. As I'd rank them Fly Again > Mystery > Holiday > Blackout > Alien Love Call I definitely wasn't going to send your preferred option! :lol:

just occurred to me that Otto Knows could very well hold the tenuous record of longest gap between two consecutive singles being entered into BJSC - 'About You' was entered 25 editions ago and he had been on hiatus since that single release until now.

Fair enough :lol: 'FLY AGAIN' definitely was sounding better now than I remember from when I first listened to it anyway so a worthwhile revisit as I hoped it would be!

 

Starting my relisten of semi-final 2 now so my votes will be in on time, cutting it a little fine but I definitely feel like I need the second listen, at the moment there are 16 songs that I can still see realistically ending up in my votes (and my top 5 feels like it could be in almost any order).

Voted. There wasn't a depth of quality in semi 1 but I found 10 songs that were good enough to give points to.
