Ahh I didn't expect 3rd at all! That's a nice surprise, I wasn't particularly feeling my chances but I'm glad people liked Paradise enough to vote for it.

Joan of Arc is a tune, I'd actually never heard it before so it was nice to be introduced to it. Great to see Javiera and Dreamcatcher doing brilliantly too ^_^ Harry & The Chicks deserved better, that was a nice slightly quirky pop song which I really enjoyed.

So close for Chez! Congrats to Travis for winning PFSC #10. Glad to finish 6th and a couple of high pointers along the way which eerily reminds me of the Aaj situation in BJSC. Great to see myself doing pretty well in a pop contest so is this an indication for me to go pop again in BJSC? Maybe.

:kink: I kid, very pleased to have done so well, thank you all for the votes, I've had this in my back pocket for a while after her wonderful entries in other song contests and thought she's already been entered quite a bit in BJSC.

 

I suppose I didn't help myself with pointing Aly & AJ, it's cheap, but it was easily one of the highlights and a great discovery so I can't knock it, congrats Travis! The other two in that top 4 are both really great. Dreamcatcher was a lot more unique than most other K-pop songs I'd heard recently. Great top 10 overall, but what a shame for ZOE, that was my favourites </3

Tbf I didn't know Charlotte Sands had been sent to BJSC, it must have been one I wasn't in and I would have happily swapped the entry out but the mods did okay it so :')

 

Gotta laugh at the few of you that take this far too seriously and intentionally boycott "cheap" songs. (Even funnier when Aly & AJ and Loreen win and are in the top ten :lol: ). The point is to make discoveries, I don't believe for a second everyone knew Dress already when there's people that don't participate in BJSC that did in this and a lot of people that enter this aren't typical pop fans. It's a bit of fun for Christ sake, just enjoy a song for what it is without pulling up it's statistical records first. For me spin off contests and song contests in other forums are more enjoyable because they're more relaxed...

Sorry I wasn't here to comment along live, this was clashing with the UK #1s listenthrough and I am bad at multitasking so decided to just leave it to catch up with later (which reminds me I really need to go finally leave belated comments on the last Club Bizarre + Masquerade both of which I also missed when they were live :kink:)

 

Yay for Oklou ending up delivering one of my better results in this (I actually thought I'd only ever come top 10 once with my winner so thanks for including the chart runs to remind me that Luna Shadows also went top 5 for me, this one matching my 3rd best finish though) after a pretty slow start, not too surprised it ended up being mostly a high points or nothing kind of entry (I see it finished ahead of quite a handful of songs that got more voters) - thank you to Juan, Kath and Leww for the 15s, Jade and Jupiter for the 13s, Savan and Chez for further double figure points and Cody, Cameron, Lewis, Dobbo and Jonjo for the remaining points :3 This is a song I stumbled across a couple of years ago and stashed away as 'keep an eye on this artist for future releases which may be BJSC worthy', it's actually still my favourite song that I've heard from her though so came to mind as a possibility to just belatedly send here and I liked it more than I remembered upon revisiting it! Coincidentally right after this contest started Oklou has just had her first taste of mainstream success with a feature on a Flume album track netting her a brief top 100 appearance on Australian and US Spotify (+ top 200 in New Zealand), my influence xx

 

Congrats Travis on the win, definitely a predictable one but I can't really complain when it was certainly one of the best songs here - these results are actually pretty much perfect in general, my top 6 were the main standouts and 5 of those have finished in the actual top 6! Was iconic to see Blaya opening up with getting both of the first 2 18s here, shame she couldn't quite keep that momentum up but still a good result for what I think might be my favourite discovery to date from PFSC, an absolute banger so thanks for that discovery uhsting! Also a great discovery from Ansel (a little surprised that did so well as the reaction on Discord wasn't exactly overwhelmingly positive!) and good stuff from Chez and Seven, both pretty expected given the artists, Dreamcatcher are definitely a cut above the average K-Pop act and Javiera Mena is pretty much always quality. Chez coming 2nd yet again though :shakingcheeseblock: Sebastián Yatra then being the only one of my main standouts that didn't do super well but a midtable result is still not bad for that, I had actually already heard 'Tacones Rojos' before but I enjoyed it here a lot more than I remembered from when I first listened to it.

 

The SoapGirls got robbed though, I demand a recount for our Comic Sans quens :angry:
