June 8, 20223 yr I was really expecting Kate to close the gap on Harry, not for it to widen, looks like number 2 it is, im happy to see Harry get his 10th week at number 1 but would have prefered Kate to have got there as this week was probably her best chance. With the acr rule, does the reduction in sales only apply to streaming or does it apply to actual sales aswell?
June 8, 20223 yr Amazing for "Running Up That Hill". I hope it gets a surprise reset. Unlike a lot of older hits coming back as one offs etc, it looks like it will stick around a while. Eseentially the streaming ratios are doubled to 1:200 and 1:1200 from 1:100 and 1:600 for premium and free streams respectively, thus halving their value in streaming equivalent sales. Kate's best chance of #1 will probably be when the last couple of episodes of Stranger Things drop (which are already confirmed to be featuring the song again), which is in early July. 'As It Was' will likely be on ACR by then. (Although if Kate's numbers continue to hold up as well as they are so far, she could just get the #1 as soon as Harry goes to ACR even before the other ST episodes drop). The gap is obviously not going to be closing as long as her streams are still under 2x Harry's (her digital sales lead over Harry isn't big enough to overcome that).

Shame Kate has no chance of being #1 this week but it would be quite something if she did manage to get to the top at some point over the next few weeks. I'm guessing 'As It Was' hitting ACR will be its best shot, unless something else massive comes along.
