Beabadoobee will probs be top 5 but will not sell like fake it flowers. Death Bed helped her first record (Definitely one of the greatest songs of all time!) but she has had huge R1 support. Jeff Beck and Johnny Depp may have a shot. Honestly this has been the worst year for music since 2001 based on charts. Like why do some songs chart in the us and are top 40 in canada and aussieland and not here (I.E. Numb)? I saw this coming last year. 2020 was great for music though.

Where are you looking for that I can’t see them on the best sellers rankings?

Oh oops I was actually looking at their digital album chart, my bad.

The top selling new release on CD & vinyl is actually... Jeff Beck & Johnny Depp :drama: (#3 overall behind George Ezra and Paolo Nutini). Mabel at #8, Lizzo #26, Interpol #31. I'm not sure how well that chart usually correlates with the official chart anyway though, I feel like it is sometimes quite off.

Mabel bringing in the mass reductions - Signed CD £5.99, iTunes Download £4.99, Signed CD / Signed Cassette / Voicemail Message £12.99 etc., - so they could be close if they are pulling out all the stops now (or it’s flopping hard :kink: )

If Mabel is throwing all this at it, surely its will get her another Top 5 album, or as its said its flopping hard and they are pulling out the stops to get it chart higher.

Mabel is #1 per the OCC FB page

per the OCC FB page

1 Mabel

2 beabadoobee

3 Harry

4 Interpol

6 Working Men’s Club

7 Lizzo

8 Black Midi

9 Deaf Havanna

Well Mabel is #1 today, but apparently beabadoobee is #1 on physicals (#2 overall) so I'm guessing it's quite close.

black midi in at #8 so far, let's see if the OCC let them actually keep their sales this time ~ Working Men's Club at #6, higher than I'd have predicted!

The OCC album chart news article has Lizzo and j-hope in the title and thumbnail despite them respectively being only the 5th and 9th highest new entries.

basically every release is top 10 = very very low sales, which is normal for mid-summer lull

Happy for Mabel!!! Such a strong pop album, yeah it'll be on low sales and have a short chart run most likely, but the GP won't care about that and care more about it being #1.

Fair play to Mabel - guessing that’s why they have put everything to half price, offering voicenote, personalised signings etc., as she has a chance to stay there.

Even though the price cuts are frustrating to people who pre-ordered I always like it when artists put some effort in to push for the top spot.

Yeah makes sense why they’ve reduced now!

Interesting to know the sales as Harry could easily overtake if there’s not much in it.

If they reduce the signed pink vinyl on her site, she will get a sale from me x

This - not here for the CDs, Cassettes, Posters, and voice notes, reduce the vinyl

I don't think these midweek reductions have anything to do with how close the chart is. Paolo Nutini did it the other week and he was miles ahead at #1.

Its 6,087 sales so far, powered mostly by physical copies (4,966 sales), have sent it to the top spot in a week dominated by new releases. In second place is recent Music Week cover star Beabadobee with her album Beatopia – again, its 5,693 sales coming largely from physical (5,058 sales). In at No.3 is last week's No.1, Harry Styles' Harry's House (4,076 sales), just head of Interpol's new release The Other Side Of Make Believe (3,612 sales). Ed Sheeran's = (3,249 sales) completes the Top 5.

Further new entries to the Top 10 are Working Men's Club's Fear Fear (2,818 sales, No.6), Lizzo's Special (2,725 sales, No.7), Black Midi's Hellfire (2,681 sales, No.8), and Deaf Havana's The Present Is A Foreign Land (2,594 sales, No.9).

In the singles race, LF System's Afraid To Feel (23,302 sales) enjoys another strong start to the week at No.1. Harry Styles' As It Was (16,561 sales) is holding at No.2, as are George Ezra's Green Green Grass (14,610 sales) at No.3, and Beyonce's Break My Soul (13,460 sales) at No.4. David Guetta, Becky Hill and Ella Henderson collaboration Crazy What Love Can Do (13,019 sales) jumps three places from No.8 last week to complete the Top 5.
