September 19, 20222 yr Author These rounds are still open to voting for those who are interested in the older stuff! http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=256960 http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=256960
September 19, 20222 yr I'm TOTALLY on board with Payphone remaining in the list I'd perhaps drop Bom Bom and Start Without You though, and replace them with House Every Weekend and Now You're Gone.
September 19, 20222 yr Sak Noel Loca People probably the worst #1 of this entire time frame Not counting the charity songs of course, they all need to be here. Edited September 19, 20222 yr by Dobbo.

September 19, 20222 yr Dance Monkey without a doubt need to go on - there’s enough visceral hate for it on this forum haha. I guess people can just +1 it in the rate if they disagree. I’d also make an argument for Wherever You Are, but looks like I’m a lone voice. (I’d remove Green Light)
September 19, 20222 yr I don't think Tones And I should be on there - don't get me wrong, it would be my +25 (obviously), but I'm pretty sure there are more who like it on here than dislike it, and a lot of those who like it like it a lot, so it feels like a wasted inclusion that will inevitably finish quite near the bottom. I'd rather see it not included than it be an excuse for all of its supporters to reaffirm their support of it tbh :teresa: 'Payphone' needs to be kept though as I don't think that has the same level of supporters. I still think 'Hallelujah' is worse than 'Start Without You' but on reflection I'm fine with that swap in the name of the latter being more likely to make the top 10. Out of the suggested songs to add in 'Turn Up The Music' is the one I can get behind the most. So I'd say swap that with Tones and I'm broadly in agreement with the rest (trying to be objective, there are many more changes I'd make if I was basing it just on what I enjoy!) edit: although actually I'd also vote to change the LadBaby song to 'I Love Sausage Rolls' but idk maybe the Ed/Elton one is more widely despised x
September 19, 20222 yr Author Thanks for the suggestions so far. I should have said in the OP but I think in general they need to be corroborated by at least 3 people in the thread to result in a change as the list has already been decided by a group. So if you agree with someone else’s suggestion make sure you say so! Perhaps Dance Monkey needs a yes/no poll but I don’t think one can be added to the thread retrospectively? Hilarious that Bré would give it +25 but thinks it shouldn’t go on and I would give it +1 but think maybe it should. I think Green Light is definitely coming off in favour of Turn Up The Music. Loca People might be a good shout even though I quite like it - I’m all for adding tracks that are one offs and seeing how they do rather than having a boring list.
September 19, 20222 yr I'd rather see it not included than it be an excuse for all of its supporters to reaffirm their support of it tbh :teresa: I am one such supporter of 'Dance Monkey' who would like to very publicly reaffirm my support of it  Seriously, it shouldn't be on this list, I'm not just being biased because I love it but for all the reasons already outlined by others. WAP should most definitely take its place, awful awful song. If you can even call it a song. There's not many songs I can say I hate but that's definitely one of them. Ugh :puke2: Edited September 19, 20222 yr by Mangø
September 19, 20222 yr Jessie J- Domino Gabrielle Aplin- The Power of Love No. As much as Jessie J grated with her music and her personality 'Domino' is still a great pop song imo and I have a soft spot for Gabrielle's version of TPOL especially during winter when it came out. The rest I can give or take from your list though (although there's some others there I like too obviously). Edited September 19, 20222 yr by Roba!
September 19, 20222 yr Gabrielle's cover of The Power Of Love is competently done compared to some others we've seen across the lists. I don't think it deserves to be up there.
September 19, 20222 yr I’m not sure why but I’m always afraid to vote for things like this because of the certain backlash, but here’s some #1’s from the years mentioned that I could do without remembering being #1 singles; Eva Cassidy & Katie Melua – What A Wonderful World Vanessa Jenkins & Bryn West feat. Tom Jones & Robin Gibb – Islands In The Stream JLS – Love You More Cher Lloyd – Swagger Jagger Military Wives & Gareth Malone – Wherever You Are PJ & Duncan – Let’s Get Ready To Rumble Sam Bailey – Skyscraper The Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir – A Bridge Over You Artists For Grenfell – Bridge Over Troubled Water Eminem feat. Ed Sheeran – River Drake – Nice For What Ellie Goulding – River Michael Ball & Captain Tom Moore – You’ll Never Walk Alone Jawsh 685 & Jason Derulo – Savage Love (Siren Beat) LadBaby feat. Ed Sheeran & Elton John – Sausage Rolls For Everyone Ok ready for the backlash with some of these choices. :arrr:
September 20, 20222 yr Nah those are all fairly bland, crap etc although 'Wherever You Are' is the better of the Gareth songs imo. Oh actually I like PJ and Duncan in a novelty way which is practically what it is anyway, Edited September 20, 20222 yr by Roba!
September 20, 20222 yr 'Nice For What' is up there with my favourite #1s of recent years, I'm surprised that would be the Drake #1 anyone would target as being worthy of a worst list. (agreed / would not passionately argue against most of the rest of that list though x)
September 20, 20222 yr 'Nice For What' is up there with my favourite #1s of recent years, I'm surprised that would be the Drake #1 anyone would target as being worthy of a worst list. I think it’s more a case of familiarity as I would have heard One Dance, God’s Plan even In My Feelings to a lesser degree, but I don’t find myself remembering Nice For What as well, and it could have been ok as a #2 single perhaps, but not one of his most standout singles for me, but again that’s just me. For the record Toosie Slide would have been on my list too but I was keeping it to one song per artist as the opening thread stated.
September 20, 20222 yr I definitely think Freaky Friday is one of the worst ones, WAP is a way better comedy song.
September 20, 20222 yr when you have that Toosie Slide song, every other Drake song is great by comparison Gabrielle Aplin-The power of love should definitely not be on the list, gorgeous mazing cover Tones & I should definitely be in just cos it's the worst vocal in the history of music, if Hello was in the list this should be there 10000% sure Deurlo should be in for Savage Dance or whatever it was called
