Is there a particular reason 5SOS sales are so low cause thats absolutely terrible for them. Their last album just 2 years ago was close to 20k on the first mids

Weren't they helped last time by the battle with Dua's album being released in the same week? I remember their stans being totally unhinged at the time and multi buying like there's no tomorrow

Crazy what love can do

No excuses

Hot in it

Mary on a cross

All now seem to be on ACR

Tom Grennan's Remind Me appears to have finally gone to ACR too.

So it's one rule for Dave's Screwface Capital, another for Mary On A Cross - some consistency would be nice.

Let's not pretend that didn't happen on both sides :P

Did D-Block Europe get insider information about 5SOS' impending flop then... (I imagine it'll still be possible for 5SOS to claw back #1 by the end of the week but that's a reeeeeally bad dropoff from their last album!)

A little disappointing to see Editors not even midweek top 5 aw, I figured they'd be behind 5SOS and DBE and maybe Sports Team and ABBA (the latter has had a physical re-release this week in case anyone was wondering how it's suddenly ahead of Harry et al.) but I really didn't expect Mark Owen to be so high as well! Then again it's quite surprising that he hasn't had greater success with his previous solo albums really.

Ooh at Swedish House Mafia's album making an appearance now, kinda forgot that still hadn't got its physical release yet. Hopefully should be secure for a new peak (only needs to beat #70).

Pff at Ghost being thrown to ACR already <_< they'd better keep the same energy for Chris Brown. (I guess tbf Ghost had probably already peaked but still)

Oof at BLACKPINK being down 1-45... not that that's especially uniquely bad for #1 albums in current year but I wouldn't have expected them to drop that hard considering they did have pretty good first week streams, I guess those streams must have tanked pretty quickly oops. Very impressive and surprising that Suede are holding up the best out of last week's new entries at the moment! I'm not sure I'd say #60 today is 'safe' for Rina to stay in the top 75 hmm ~ but of course it's better than her already being outside it.

Come on Sam you can close that 1k gap. Seems to be making gains again on streaming but still not sure if it'll be enough.

I really dislike both of the top-2, but I’m for Sam, as I love when the artists get #1s deep into their careers!
Like the Sam song but hoping Guetta and Queen Bebe stay at no1, song of the year for me.
I do much prefer I’m Good but wouldn’t mind Sam ending up at number one even if just to further cement that the public would much prefer interesting music to more soppy ballads from them
Hopefully Sam gets to #1 I guess, I still don’t think it sounds good but it’s at least more interesting than the Guetta track.
I don't think 'Unholy' is quite as good as the run of #1s between Encanto and LF SYSTEM for me but it's probably about on par with Eliza Rose and definitely better than the last two #1s.
I'd like them to get to #1 for the unexpected factor of Kim grabbing a UK #1 tbh. Songs better than Guetta for me too so also that.

Edited by Roba!

guess DBE's label figure out that 5SOS weren't having great preorders and thats why they switched weeks?

crazy how 5SOS have fallen in popularity, and they have cazillions of bundles and multiformats

Does anyone know if Mary On A Cross had declined in streams for 3 consecutive weeks before this? I suspect that might be the difference.

It increased 3 weeks ago (w/e 15/9/2022) so its not that (also only been on the chart for 6 weeks)

I’d like Sam to get to #1 just so we can continue the high turnover - makes me nostalgic for 2000 / 2014 haha
I’d like Sam / Kim to get #1 because it’s an interesting record and not a rubbish remake :P :arrr:
