Wow only 152 sales for George Michael from either downloads or streams? He had two versions of the album in the top 25 on iTunes the other day so that shows just how low sales on the platform must have become :o

Summertime Sadness is at #55. How and why?

Could be the new 'sped up' version which was released last week? Only reason I could think of... didn't know it had done well, though!

Pleased to see an increase for hold me closer

The OCC crediting the Cedric Gervais remix though (in error I presume) :kink:

I assume 'Summertime Sadness' has just been given a reset (a bit slow on that front as it's been viral for like 2 months already). Just another example of Kate Bush's impakt on making labels realise they're allowed to do that (and/or making the OCC less resistant to requests), same as with Tom Odell a few weeks ago. All the versions are obviously combined so I guess the label haven't instructed the OCC to change the credit from its original chart run - it is just the original album version that's getting the majority of its streams now.

Likewise for Paloma Faith's 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' appearing at #69, has been viral for ages but only appearing now, I'm assuming that's just been given a belated reset too.

Just noticed that 'Do I Wanna Know?' has overtaken '505' somehow so that may be denied what would be a new peak even on ACR :drama:

Very small gap between Guetta and Sam today then (a lot smaller than this time last week), hopefully Sam is safe to close the gap and pull ahead by the end of the week again.

wow at all the belated resets from songs that went viral on tiktok weeks ago! also sam & kim should hopefully overtake and hold #1 again by friday!

She released a new version featuring Teddy Swims which is possibly why they asked for a reset

As far as I know it's not an error? Summertime Sadness is all combined for the charts, and the Cedric Gervais version was the official single version. I don't think I've ever seen the OCC go and credit a single version and then go back to crediting only the album version before.

Only times I can think of where they've changed credits is the other way around. For post-album singles that managed to chart as album tracks, then later get a single version with a featured artist. But once the single version is declared, I think that's it. There have been cases before where a featured artist's remix of a song contributed 0% of a song's sales, yet they still got credited (this happened because in some cases the OCC would sometimes change the credits to the single version before it was even released!), and other cases of single versions sort of "flopping" and the album version being downloaded way more, but the OCC still always credited the single version.

wow at the unexpected Lana reset! Bit late but hope it can reach the t40 again

This has been explained elsewhere but the OCC go by whatever credit is given to them by the record label. Sometimes this includes a featured artist from a single remix, sometimes it doesn't (and sometimes the credit changes post-charting), In the case of Summertime Sadness, Cedric Gervais has always been credited. I've never known the OCC to remove an artist from a credit, adding happens though.

Although there actually is, incidentally, a case in the chart right now where they definitely should be removing an artist from the credits - the Burna Boy verse from D-Block Europe's 'She's Not Anyone' has been removed on all platforms and apparently replaced by a new Young Adz verse for some reason (I'm not sure if it's been explained publicly) but looks like a memo has not been sent as Burna Boy's name remains on the credits in today's mids.
Equally though, the credit being changed for the future also affects past weeks (unlike on Billboard where credits can change depending on the most popular version), so would feel unfair to deprive Burna Boy of an official top 40 hit when he did actually achieve one last week. A strange scenario!
Have we ever had an act credited as 'D Block Europe feat. Burna Boy OR Young Adz'?

Young Adz is part of D-Block Europe so "D-Block Europe with or without Burna Boy" would be more apt

Some of DBE’s singles do actually credit Young Adz (or Dirtbike Lb) as a feature though, for songs of theirs where only one of the members has anything to do with it.

For example Man In The Mirror - which went top 40 not too long ago, although bizarrely Young Adz was only given a feature credit a few weeks after it had already been released.
