October 23, 20223 yr Glad to see Taylor occupy the top 3! Also hearing that Kylie is headed for the top 5 with the Impossible Princess re-issue, is that true? It would be incredible for the album to get a new peak 25 years after release, it's so brilliant an album.
October 23, 20223 yr Any number? you can send it to me privately? Sadly not, thats what I read on Buzzjack
October 23, 20223 yr I think/hope Another Love is just outside the top 20 and has just dropped a bit cos of the Taylor/AM newbies

October 23, 20223 yr Another Love is usually low top 20 anyway in First Look so with 6 new/re-entries in the top 20 it makes complete sense that it's out of the top 20 today.
October 23, 20223 yr Are these sales correct? Surely not Stating Taylor has sold 130k of midnights and AM’s The Car has sold 100k? I can’t post the link as I don’t have 20 posts but the Ed Sheeran the sun article today about filming a documentary reality show (has sales claims for this weeks album chart) Edited October 23, 20223 yr by BellyClarkson
October 23, 20223 yr From the Sun… Released on Friday, by midnight on Saturday 131,057 copies had been snapped up here, while Arctic Monkeys’ The Car had shifted 102,494. Wow! Wasn’t expecting that for either albums. Looks like we’re in for a good week!
October 23, 20223 yr Wow that's crazy for both of them - the sky is really the limit for Taylor this week now (given her insane streaming numbers could she be pushing for a 200k debut?!) but if anything I'm even more shocked that AM are already over 100k, I was feeling it was unlikely they'd beat the opening sales of their last album let alone this early. I know they won't care about losing their #1 streak but it's such a tragedy from a chart geek perspective when they're coming for sales that would have been sufficient for #1 in all but a tiny handful of weeks since their last album came out... :drama: (I know it's not exactly an official source yet but that seems too specific to not be true)
October 23, 20223 yr The Sun are usually spot on when it comes to showbiz news so I'd be inclined to believe those figures. Absolutely mind-blowing from both acts!
October 23, 20223 yr Insane figures for both Taylor and AM and that's just with 1 day of streams Edited October 23, 20223 yr by Bjork
October 23, 20223 yr Those are incredible numbers for both acts, I feel bad for AM. One would almost be forgiven if they thought it was still 2002 by looking at those first two slots.
October 23, 20223 yr I can’t believe those sales for Taylor. She’s sold 40k more than 1989 (her biggest debut week here which came off the back of Shake It Off which was the biggest single of her career) with no lead single in 2 days… wow
October 23, 20223 yr Bloody hell that's crazy! Out of interest, what did Taylor's last three albums open with? (asking about last three as 'Lover' is obviously the more comparable album) Apologies if they've already been posted, I've been away for a few days so just catching up on proceedings.

Her biggest debut here was 1989, opened with 92k I believe…

Wasn’t expecting that for either albums. Looks like we’re in for a good week! And people were predicting 60-80k for the Arctics as total week sales :cheeseblock: Incredible sales for both - just a shame they have gone head to head!
October 23, 20223 yr Insane for both albums! Feels like the old days of Q4 releases with big opening sales. I expect Taylor will be in the 170-180k range and Arctic Monkeys around 130-140k by the end of the week. :o
