Posted January 6, 20232 yr N2ICtCO8TCw UK Chart Run: 1-1-1-1-2-4-8-14-22-31-50-61-72 (13 weeks) Finishing in third place for 1995 it's Mancunian pop band Take That with arguably their signature song. Allegedly written in 15 minutes by Gary Barlow, it was released as the second single from their third studio album Nobody Else after unprecedented demand built up following its unveiling at the 1995 BRIT awards show. It topped the charts for 4 consecutive weeks and went on to become the biggest selling boyband single of all time. Despite this it still had a peculiarly short chart run for such a well-revered song. Take That famously split up in 1996 before reuniting in 2005 (sans Williams who re-joined in 2010) but now operate as a three-piece. We're here again, it's time to choose your winner for the next survivor. Edited January 10, 20232 yr by Dobbo.
January 6, 20232 yr Author Gotta be Gangsta's Paradise for me, such a iconic song. Wonderwall is too of course but it's really been tarnished by overexposure.
January 6, 20232 yr I would put both of these songs into the "quite good" category. I slightly prefer Wonderwall so I voted for that.
January 6, 20232 yr Gangsta's Paradise easily, I like Wonderwall, but it's not held up as well from overplay.
January 6, 20232 yr Coolio to win for me. Both are perfectly fine though, Oasis is definitely overplayed but it's difficult to say anything that bad about it.
January 7, 20232 yr This is a tough call as they're so different to each other but I love both basically equally - I think on balance I'd like to see Coolio win slightly more so gone with him but would be more than happy with either.
January 7, 20232 yr Went for Coolio (RIP) such an iconic rap tune. Love Oasis too though! Back For Good is so good I originally thought it’s bound to be a cover, a big band would know way have the talent to write such a good song but TT we’re different I guess!
