Shakira is teamed up with Bizarrap, the biggest name in Spanish music

this is huge, 22 million views in 8 hours!

and this is gonna have insane streaming figures just cos of Bizarrap alone, his latest last summer had 2 million streams on Spotify Spain for months and months, compare it to the UK when the #1 usually gets 500K tops and Spain's population is much smaller. His numbers were similar to the US.

Yeah this is surely going to be huge (not in the UK obvz). I choose to see it as a stepping stone towards an eventual Bizarrap x ROSALÍA x

also the lyrics are 100% about her last few months and the breakup with Pique, she even talks about the issues with the Spanish fisco

so I doubt even SouthAmericans understand what she's talking about

This is the best thing she has done in years... I didn't know she still had it in her.

It's refreshing to hear her clever/strange Shakira lyricism again — she hasn't pushed her writing like this in a long time.

the lyrics are next-level genius, there are so many little inside-jokes

she mentions "salpiqué" or "sal-piqué"

she mentions the girl that replaced her, Clara ("clara-mente")

the bit about 2 times 22 is cos Shakira is 44 and this girl Clara is 22

also Shakira is born Feb 2, same as Piqué, so whenever Piqué scored, he was always doing the 2x22 sign that Shakira makes in the video

even the song lasts 3:33, and guess which was Piqué's number when playing in Barcelona? Yes, number 3 :D

#1 in Spain with nearly 4 million streams :o

#6 in the US with nearly 1 million

the Uk as per usual missing, but at least it made the t200 on Spotify

Lol love it and the lyrics are amazing and so meme-able. 'Women don't cry, women invoice' is my favourite. :D Didn't expect such a 'pop' sound from this collab though!

Bizarrap's big hit with Quevedo was very early 10s dance-pop I thought (reminded me a bit of Pitbull lmao, sounded quite out of place being a global #1 in 2022 but it was a bop so not complaining), some of his other stuff is more leaning towards the Latin trap sound I think but he does seem to be fairly versatile as a producer.

Even seeing this in the top 200 in the UK feels like progress tbh. Although it does just remind me of when it briefly looked like 'Todo De Ti' might be making a breakthrough and then it vanished after like a day, idk if any UK hype for this will last beyond the first day.

This is amazing! Idk what I expected but it wasn’t this lol.
This is so good!!! It's silly of me but it irks me that it doesn't have a proper title for some reason lmao.

I think this “title” is perfect for a diss song like this haha.

It looks quite likely to chart in the UK top-40, I believe it would be the first time for Shakira with a Spanish track?

Indeed.

It pains me that the likes of La Tortura, Antologia and Inevitable are unknown to English audiences.

The sheer amount of amazing songs on Dónde Están los Ladrones?...

He is yuuuge, but just more mumble rap nonsense.

Shakira's song is SHITE, as expected. Gossipy nonsense.

UK, broaden your horizons and stop being so English centred!

What, so Spain can be absolutely obsessed with English and everyrhing UK but the UK cannot?
