Sad to see Stephen Sanchez falling due to what I think must be an error on Spotify, one of the more unique top 40 hits currently!

Not heard the Miley track yet but would be great to see her get another number one.

Shameful drop for Lewis Capaldi. Confirms it's status as a non-number 1

Sam Smith only at #56. They would’ve easily been top 40 had they picked the Ed collab as the next single

It probably makes more sense to save that for later if it's destined to be a hit anyway, to give the campaign some longevity instead of burning out.

I'm under the impression they're releasing the next proper official single shortly and 'Gimme' isn't it.

Stephen Sanchez is down to #30... So was that tumble on Spotify real then, rather than just an uncombining?

I think it's maybe both now. I really can't see how its massive drop would have been genuine as it was such a huge anomaly worldwide, I'm sure it was either an uncombining or just a glitch, but it's continued to drop since then anyway at a more believable rate (losing its place in the top 50 probably not helping). Glad it got to peak in the top 20 before this happened at least.

Worth noting it was only #25 in the midweeks last week so it may still rise over the week again.

Freya Ridings not Top 100. Bad omen for how the album will do in May ?

Her first album didn't do that great in the first place tbf - I wasn't expecting her comeback to make much noise, she seems more like a 2 hit wonder than an artist built for longevity to me. (I did really like both of those hits + 'Waking Up' with MJ Cole though so I wouldn't be averse to her getting more hits but yeah, not looking like this will be one yet)

of course poor Freya Ridings is doing nothing with Zero playlist support or even radio support, barely anyone knows it's out :/

She's super talented but needs playlist support like everyone else

Just listened to 'Weekends' - great track but doesn't sound like a hit sadly.

It's not the next single. Their next single is "I'm Not Here To Make Friends" which is produced by Calvin Harris and a music video has been filmed. They'll be performing it on the Graham Norton Show the Friday the album is released. Assume they will push it as the next single during album release week (or perhaps release it this Friday a week ahead).

It's not necessarily a given that the Ed collab will be a single at all, Ed has appeared on several album tracks that stayed as album tracks in the past few years.
If The Courteeners stay at #1, they'll have had one album peak at each of #1, #2, #3, #4 & #5 (although the one at #5 was a 'Rewired' version of the one that's heading for #1). They've also had two #6s.
Omg I just noticed Shakira at #39, wasn’t expecting her to be that high! Is she expected to stay there or?
Entirely depends on if the song keeps building momentum. It's climbed every day since its release so far on Spotify and was just added to Hot Hits UK which won't hurt. Not a lot of room for error if it starts running out of steam though so I wouldn't get too excited yet.

I think it sounds like a massive hit! I'm actually shocked it's not even top 100 in the mids, I know she's not exactly a big name but even without playlist support I thought she would at least do enough to show up in the Monday mids. I'm confident it will blow up eventually though.

I feel it's a hit on its own, given it is only growing in streams from day to day in the very first days of its release, when songs usually fall, - people are discovering the (now viral) song and liking it.

Yeah, I still don't have any idea what Tok Tok is about and I just discovered the song because it was played on radio - it's great, instant and thematically it connects to a lot of people. Who hasn't been dumped?! Well, I mean, not me of course since I'm not a loser but I hear a lot of people are getting dumped these days.

I am surprised Miley will be #1, she must have pre-hyped Flowers well on TikTok I assume....

It's only starting to become a trend now that it's pointed out its the opposite of when I was your man, and mostly because the songs have been mashed up

That 15-1-11 chart run is utterly hilarious so hope that Pointless stays there (or at least doesn't climb into top ten as the week goes forward)

Has any other songs had this kind of chart run in the past?

If 'Pointless' does leave the top 10 this week it could reclimb there next week as won't the likes of Taylor, Meghan, Venbee&Goddard and Oliver Tree be on ACR? Have they been falling last 2 weeks?
