Having listened to everything now this is definitely standing out - more than Sweden and Finland for me in fact.

Certainly could be a televote dark horse, rivalling those two on that metric.

 

I don't know how the juries will take to it, don't they have to vote on different metrics than before, i.e. the overall performance moreso than vocals etc.

That’s a perfect comparison. Think you’re absolutely right, it’s the mish-mash of genres and vocal styles and general iamspamspamamisink feeling of it that is just so peak 2002-2005 (Round Round to Biology) Xenomania in the best way

 

I feel like this is slipping a bit in terms of hype (similar to 'Je Me Casse' from a couple of years ago, still an online fave but the actual hype isn't quite hitting the level of online hype - a safe top 10 finish though)... but THEIR VOCALS ARE TIGHT AF LIVE. OMFG!

 

I do hope I'm wrong though and that the hype is still very much there for them. I need a top 5 finish!

They seem to have been on a promo blitz in Austria and the performances are all f***ing iconic

Officially #48 in the UK chart this week! :wub: This should have been top 10 in the contest (and get more than 0 points from the UK), the running order really affected its position :(

This is such a fun track. Shame being on first screwed them over on potentially a better result though :(

 

I think if this was the staging then it would have done better and the ghostly makeup/period costumes might have made the Poe metaphor make a bit more sense if you were hearing the lyrics for the first time.

Such a fantastic track it did deserve better in the contest.
