I thought the singles from Mariah’s Daydream album were pretty much her best, Fantasy and Always Be My Baby are my two Mariah songs of choice

Agreed! "Always Be My Baby" is one of my favourite songs of all time - what a stunner

I find her to be one of the best in her genre, even her latest album was really really solid!

I assume they are counting Dua Lipa, which is reasonable.

Oh I thought it would be Sonia, she hasn't been mentioned yet and no way that Buzzjack would ignore such a musical Eurovision queen and late 80s colossus. :cheeseblock:

Definitely agree with that, she was very hit and miss after 'Music Box'.

I agree, I loved her up to music box and after that it was hit and miss for me aswell.

Emancipation of Mimi is my favourite Mariah album! I do love both Fantasy and Always Be My Baby too. Along with Heartbreaker.
Seeing what is left, I appearently did not remember that there was Lady Gaga when voting. Probably would have gotten 15-20 points from me but somehow I totally missed her.

Miley climbing into the top 20

Interested to see who is top 10 (can't remember who is left that I voted for).

25 UK TOP 40 HITS

BIGGEST HIT: WUTHERING HEIGHTS (#1, 1978) RUNNING UP THAT HILL (#1, 2022)

Indeed me and Jim have an identical choice of 29 pointer as well :kink: shame Kate couldn’t climb this time post-‘Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)’ renaissance. What a legend, my favourite albums from her are Hounds of Love and The Sensual World although my top song is from neither, ‘Wuthering Heights’

Kellyyyyy  (she is my personal favourite ever vocalist) such a warm, soulful, huge voice. ‘Meaning of Life’ is her vocal peak to date. Love her so much. She’s slowly starting to get the recognition she deserves.

I haven’t really delved too much into Kate’s material enough to know how I feel about her, but I don’t think I’m too big a fan. Bordering into Florence type shrilling for me, and it’s no secret how I feel about her  I don’t mind Running Up That Hill or Hounds of Love and I’m pretty sure there is another I like, but I don’t really repeat play her.

Big jump in points from14th to 13th, and Kate made top 5 for 12 people so I guess she wasn't far off the top 10! My favourites, not sure about the order, would have to be her aforementioned two(!) number ones and 'Cloudbusting'.
Shows how hard it is to choose 30 if i didnt vote for Kelly Clarkson !

The best Kelly Clarkson songs are her Max Martin penned ones. Though I have to say I am enjoying her current output.

Kate Bush has never really grabbed me aside from her best known three or four songs which are great.

My number 1 Kelly at 14. Should have been top 10 imo obviously but still great.

Kate Bush is obviously a legend too !
