Wow Lana *.* the near-miss of 'A&W' has not totally killed off my prediction of her achieving a top 40 single this year after all :lol:

OMG would have never predicted that for Lana!!! but amazing to see some justice for Say Yes to Heaven

It's a song that has been recorded and dumped for like 6-7 albums I think

 

Nice also for Kylie, the song sounds so modern and very tik-tokesque too

Amazing for Lana :o I expect that'll be very frontloaded, and isn't doing nearly as much on other platforms, so I'm not expecting Top 10, but a first Top 20 as lead since 2013 maybe?

even top 40 would be amazing at this point

she hasn't had a top 40 as lead since Lust for Life

all the singles from her last 4 studio albums missed the t40

I think aside from 'Dancing' managing #77, it is her highest :o

 

All The Lovers would have been the highest. I checked the Spotify chart a few times in 2010 and it was never too drastically different to the normal charts. Usually the pop songs were a bit lower, held back releases were a bit lower and indie/alternative and hip hop songs were a bit higher.

 

So there's no way to prove it i guess but I can almost guarantee All The Lovers would have been top 20 on Spotify when it was out.

Capaldi flopping

feels like any album that doesn't match ÷ on streams gets labelled a flop on here lol I can't tell if people just set their expectations too high or if they're just looking for any excuse to drag an artist they don't like (or both)

 

fwiw I was expecting slightly higher streams from Capaldi but that still looks like very healthy streams on the whole. it should also sell well physically, will be interesting to see how much it sells first week (inb4 it gets called a flop after selling like 80k lol)

His 3 #1s I think made people expect higher, although I'm pretty sure all 3 got to #1 due to CDs and not so much streaming? Still a decent showing for Lewis on streaming.

 

Based on the album prediction thread, most were predicting in the 80-100k & 100-120k options for Lewis. The current showing on streaming lends to him doing the lower end of those if that? (he could still shift huge amounts of CDs though to make up for his streaming).
