May 10, 20232 yr Those desperate Kunts can f*** off. At least streaming isn’t on their side and poor Ed looking to go under 100k. This will be his first album to sell under 100k in its first week. Even his debut album + just about scraped 100k in its first week Edited May 10, 20232 yr by Hadji

May 10, 20232 yr Need 3 album rule look taylor swift at least her albums are proper albums in the chart and not greatest hit playlists...
May 10, 20232 yr Kunt getting his usual suspicious midweek boost after adding all versions for 40p on BandCamp (Last count they had released 33 variations) 'Suspicious'? (it did seem unexpected this time as it's not been rising on iTunes as it usually does, but makes sense if it's because he's pushing for sales on BandCamp instead) Maybe does still have a chance of going top 10 again after all - perhaps the less compelling reason to keep pushing for extra sales is counteracted by having 3 times as many versions and seemingly focusing more on BandCamp.

May 10, 20232 yr Go on The Kunts! Hope they can hold on in the top 20 at least. Also hope jazzy can hold on, she did have a decent sized boost and a new peak on Spotify today
May 10, 20232 yr It would be great to see The Krown Jewelz stay top 20. Whatever you think of their music, the fact that an independent artist with 20k Twitter followers and zero Radio Airplay can get themselves in the charts through persistence and clever tactics is pretty cool. Though I can't remember a song having a more volatile midweek performance! Sunday - 17th Tuesday - 30th Wednesday - 12th Anyone want to try and guess where it will end up?! Edited May 10, 20232 yr by TomJ1991

Even his debut album + just about scraped 100k in its first week Correct me if I’m wrong but selling 100k first week must have been more common in 2011 than it is now? So I’m not sure that’s necessarily a fair comparison

May 10, 20232 yr Tbf have their actually been many artists to do 6 figures for 6 albums in a row first week sales
May 10, 20232 yr What's this BandCamp thing - first time I've seen it mentioned. Well I can wiki it but why are the Kunts using it and not itunes? Anyway, great to see a top 40 chart with several new entries for once - even if one won't be played. Bet Jack Saunders would want to play it but prob end up in jail as that's what being anti the monarchy seems to achieve these days!
May 10, 20232 yr They're able to set the price point lower on BandCamp, it makes sense. There was a last minute push for BandCamp sales for their last single as well. It's not usually relevant to the charts as most mainstream artists don't use it but it's a pretty big and important platform for more underground artists.

It’s a platform artists use to sell downloads, physicals etc., and they can retain more of the money. They can also set their own prices and The Kuntz or whatever they are calling themselves now have priced their 30+ versions at 40p.
May 11, 20232 yr They can also set their own prices and The Kuntz or whatever they are calling themselves now have priced their 30+ versions at 40p. Has the OCC not set a minimum price for a download sale? 40p is almost free.
