i get why it was the lead but eyes closed is such a poor effort from a good album, wish curtains or salt water were this big, so much better from the album!

2 David Kushner - Daylight

1 Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding - Miracle

Following an admittedly disappointing result at last night’s Eurovision Song Contest, the UK has got behind our entry, with Mae Muller’s I Wrote A Song heading for the Top 10 for the first time.

The Eurodance banger, co-written by Mae, Karen Poole and Lewis Thompson, is predicted to shimmy a massive thirty-six places to a brand new peak of Number 9, netting Mae her first Top 10 single in the process.

It could also be a good week for Swedish Eurovision winner Loreen - now only the second person overall and the first woman to ever win twice - who could debut at Number 28 with Tattoo following her victory in Liverpool last night.

Up the top of the chart, Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding are storming ahead for a sixth non-consecutive week at Number 1 with Miracle (1) while there could be new Top 10 peaks for Switch Disco & Ella Henderson’s React (6) and Fifty Fifty’s groundbreaking chart smart Cupid (7).

David Guetta, Anne-Marie and Coi Leray could finally crack the Top 10 with Baby Don’t Hurt Me on Friday (10), while Zara Larsson’s kinetic banger Can’t Tame Her prepares to jump ten to a new peak (20).

Songs which have left the top 20 since Friday

9 - Scrap The Monarchy - Krown Jewelz

11 - Forget Me - Lewis Capaldi

15 - Boat - Ed Sheeran

17 - Tony Soprano 2 - Nines

I wonder if Rema will overtake Lewis to repeak as this week will be his last chance as Lewis will climb due to album effect

Looking forward to tomorrow's update when the eurovision boost will be in full effect and see how many are in the top 100! Could use a nice shake up of the charts.

I think to use the term "last chance" in regard to Rema's 'Calm Down' went out of the window months ago. It's got a life of its own. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it made the top 3 sometime.

Looks like Forget Me has gone to ACR - perhaps for one week only with the album likely to boost it to a reset.

Wonder what happens if other Lewis tracks makes 'Forget Me' starred out but it still rises >25%. Can a track still get reset even though not eligible to chart? Then it can re-enter on SCR should it become one of his top 3 tracks again?

EDIT - Having thought about this, pretty sure it must be able to be reset even though starred out. But please correct me if wrong someone. Thanks

If I'm not mistaken this is what happened to Post Malone & Swae Lee's "Sunflower" in 2019. Post Malone's album release got it a reset, but it was starred out regardless for the first two weeks. It re-entered on the 3rd week at #27 (now one of his top 3 tracks), and then dropped to #31 the week after. That put it on 3 weeks of decline even though it was starred out for 2 of them, so basically yeah, tracks that are starred out still get affected by SCR/ACR the same way.

Who do we think the real contenders for number 1 album are this week?
My signed CDs for ‘I Wrote A Song’ haven’t shipped yet so hopefully they’ve sold well and will give Mae a further boost this week.

Mae Muller is at #6

Loreen is at #9

Alessandra is at #18

Käärijä #21

In today's update!

promising start for those, looks like they should all easily make top 20 for the week, possibly top 10 too though that depends on how quick they are to fall on spotify throughout the week
