This is excellent - reminds me a bit of Within Temptation - a band that sadly never had a hit in the UK.
Chuffed that we have as many as four Eurovision entries top 10 *.* the buzz surrounding the contest this year has been amazing to witness.

Biography

Mae Muller is the most enticing of propositions: a rising songwriting talent intent on telling it precisely like it is. Frank, funny, and endlessly relatable, the Little Mix and Sam Smith-approved singer is breathing new life into pop with her street-smart yet soulful compositions, and empowering others to speak their truths in the process. Dissecting dysfunctional relationships and inconvenient emotions with wit and verve her 2020 EP, no one else, not even you marked a new creative peak for the North Londoner. Sonically, the seven-song collection was a huge step forward too, finding Mae’s supple vocals as suited to trap beats as they are funk guitar or acoustic pop, and featuring songwriting collaborations with Rick Nowels (Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa), Kenny Beats (Aitch, FKA Twigs), Skyler Stonestreet (Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber) and Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran). Mae has gone on to release some incredible collaborative singles in the past year. “Better Days”, a joint single with NEIKED and Polo G, garnered astronomical success across the globe following a viral moment on TikTok. The song has received over 1 billion streams and been certified Platinum in the US & Canada since its release and subsequently saw Mae make her debut in the Billboard Hot 100 with the song climbing to #23. After her sold out UK tour in April, this summer saw Mae take to festival stages across the UK to huge crowds including the likes of Reading & Leeds, Bestival, Isle of Wight and Parklife. - Spotify

This is such a BANGER.

It wouldn't surprise me if this became the #2 Eurovision song this coming week. It has a big presence on Tik Tok and it's probably the main reason as to why it's holding better than 'Cha Cha Cha' on Apple Music, currently.

This definitely feels like a suitable consolation prize for Mae and could be just what we need to keep some momentum next year, showing that a chart hit is still possible even with a disappointing contest result!

Queen of the Kings sounds like the most stereotypical eurovision song possible

also mae muller's begging on twitter etc was a bit pathetic but good for her i guess

Ah I will never forget Mae's fiasco. :(

She's one of many artists who have campaigned for chart positions recently. A top 10 hit is significant so I don't see how it's pathetic?

Feels so weird to hear Queen of Kings in the top ten. Its only exposure is a prime time performance really. Not on playlists, no airplay, I guess some TikTok videos but it’s mighty impressive considering it was only fifth.

Nice to see Mae get a top ten hit as a consolation. I still think it’s a really good pop track. I can get used to our entry becoming a big chart hit each year.

this was not one of my faves of eurovision this year tbh but glad she had managed to get a top ten out of it so the bbc don’t give up on trying next year

Ella Henderson

Bursting on to the scene in 2014, at just 18-years-old Ella Henderson went on to achieve global success with her debut single, ‘Ghost.’ Co-written with Ryan Tedder, the song became the fastest-selling debut single from any British Artist in 2014. That same year, Ella’s debut album, ‘Chapter One,’ (Salaam Remi, Babyface, Steve Mac, TMS) spawned her first Platinum selling album, making her one of only 3 UK artists to break Platinum in 2014. A revered artist, in 2015 Ella received two prestigious BRIT Award nominations for 'Best British Female' and 'Best British Single', rounding off the year with a landmark sell-out UK headline tour, which included two shows at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Following a whirlwind few years, Ella returned to the studio to being work on her next project. During the process she continued to collaborate with some of the biggest names in music, appearing on hits produced by superstar DJ’s Kygo and Sigma. She also returned to the live stage, touring with the likes of Take That, James Arthur and Rudimental, the latter of whom signed her to a new record deal with their label Major Toms/Asylum. For Ella, this marked a brand new start. “I want it to be fresh,” says the 23-year-old. “The industry's changed so drastically since I last released music over four years ago. I want to embrace that. I want to treat everything like it's a clean slate.” - Spotify
