Posted September 18, 20231 yr (I've not had time to make a new banner so you can have a nice little throwback to the Dingbats days here!) Welcome back to Quiz Season! I'm kicking off proceedings with the quiz I've done a couple of times before - a take on Buzzjack's traditional Pointless game, which has a twist! As you may have noticed, there isn't a list of questions here. This is because this round of Pointless is a timed quiz (using a site called FlexiQuiz). Similar to actual Pointless, you must enter as many items you can think of which fit the category, and then give your final answer - this will be the one you think the lowest number of people will have guessed. You will have 2 and a half minutes to give all your answers and submit your final answer. The number of people who guessed that answer (minus your own guess) will be the number of points you get - lowest score wins. For a little more incentive to guess as many as possible, the two people who give the most correct answers for each question will recieve a 3 point deduction from their score. (remember the lower the score the better!) A few more tidbits: - The quiz isn't pausable, but if you copy your exact URL and then paste it again, you should be able to pick up where you left off. - Your guess won't be included in the number of points you get, so you essentially get one less point than the number of people who guessed (if you try and be sneaky and not put your final answer in your list of guesses I'll just add it in anyway). - If your final answer is incorrect, you will be awarded maximum points (equal to the number of players). However there will be no penalty for giving incorrect answers in the first part of each question. - Google is NOT allowed, I can't check this but please don't abuse it - If you feel you'll be unfairly disadvantaged because of a lack of a computer or a disability, let me know and I can send you a version with a longer time limit. - Also, if you lose track of time and forget to post your final answer, you can PM me with it. (but please don't abuse this!) PART 1 | PART 2 (Part 1 *should* link automatically to Part 2 but I've linked both here in case it doesn't) If you have any questions about the game itself, things I've forgotten to mention or errors in the quiz, feel free to comment below. If you have any questions about the questions themselves, please PM me so we don't give the game away! The deadline is Sunday 25th September 23:59 - although the results will almost definitely be next Tuesday so if you're really stretched for time then feel free to have a go on Monday, but for counting purposes I'd appreciate it if you try to get your answers in by the deadline :lol: Happy quizzing! September 18, 20231 yr That was very stressful! There were some where I should have done better but a few where I think I did okay. Also, despite you telling us about writing our answer separately I almost forgot on the first question, hopefully I got enough in that you know what it was?

September 20, 20231 yr I totally messed up part 1, I wrote several answers but forgot to type them up in the 'final answer' section a couple of times lol Part 2 went ok, I'm just really frustrated about my stupidity in part 1

September 22, 20231 yr Author Just a quick update on deadlines: - The provisional deadline (which you will make me very happy if you submit by) is 23:59 Sunday 24th September - The hard deadline is 18:00 Monday 25th September. If you're a few mins late I'll let you in but I need to make sure I have enough time to count up any final submissions for the results!
September 23, 20231 yr Glad this quiz is back, it was one of my favourites of the last few series! Think I did OK, a few where I struggled to think of obscure answers though.
