Posted October 16, 20231 yr Welcome to Buzzjack's 2023 edition of Family Fortunes: UK Chart Edition! Family Fortunes has been one of the most beloved quizzes in the chart forum quiz season over the years so I'm hoping we can get some solid participation numbers! If you are unaware of the concept of Family Fortunes here is a simple rundown: There are 11 chart based questions which you can answer (you don't have to answer them all). Your aim is to give the most popular answer, you will then be awarded points based on the amount of people that put your answer (i.e. if 12 people put your answer down, you will receive 12 points). All answers, right or wrong can score points unless you don't answer the question or your answer remains unspecified (i.e. Putting 'a Miley Cyrus song' for Q1). These will receive NO points. Answers that only one member has sent will also receive no points, right or wrong (i.e. One answer = 0 points, two answers = two points) The deadline for this quiz is Sunday 22nd October 2023 at 23:59. Results should arrive on Monday The Questions: 1) Name an 10 week UK #1 single 2) Name a song from the Barbie Soundtrack that did not chart in the UK top 100 singles chart (excluding songs from the deluxe edition) 3) Name a UK #1 album that spent one week in the UK albums top 100 4) Name a song by PinkPantheress that charted between the #41-#100 positions inclusive on the UK singles chart 5) Name a UK top 5 album released under Jay-Z's label Roc Nation (Roc Nation must be credited as the album/mixtape/EP's label/co-label) 6) Name a UK top 10 single from the 2020s that was not A or B listed by BBC Radio 1 7) Name a Travis Scott song that peaked between #11 and #40 on the UK singles chart 8) Name a 2023 UK #1 album that does not yet have a BPI certification (i.e. Silver, Gold, Platinum & Multi-Platinum) 9) Name the year that you think produced the best quality of music between 1953 and 2023 (This one is a bit of fun :)) 10) Name an album that has charted/re-charted in the UK albums top 40 thanks to Record Store Day 11) Name a prominent member of the UK Chart forum who is not a moderator (oop at me recycling Wardy's question from 2021 but I thought it would be interesting to see what y'all think in 2023) Send your answers to me (Y'all Starlight) by PM Here! October 16, 20231 yr Sorry if I’m being stupid but for the first question does it have to be exactly 10 weeks at #1 or can it be 10+ weeks?

October 16, 20231 yr that’s quite a tough question for those here who don’t participate in BJSC really there is a (very long) list of entries in the forum but I’d be tempted to take that question out?
October 16, 20231 yr I've never participated in BJSC but I had a quick look and there is a list of BJSC winning songs available in the forum, but yeah I wouldn't be mad if that question was removed / replaced with something else!
October 16, 20231 yr Some great questions here! I like to see questions like 9 which are open-ended and make you think a bit differently - there can't be any incorrect answers to this one, so I assume it's the other 10 where your answer needs to be correct otherwise you get no points for it?

Yes, that would be correct unless you put 1848 for example in Q9 (i'm sure nobody would lol)!
October 16, 20231 yr Questions look fine to me, don't worry! (Granted I have no idea and will have to Google a lot of them :kink:) Questions like 9 are always good for being more open to interpretation and being on the same wavelength as just one other person could be an achievement! (The Lounge equivalent will be coming at the end of the week btw, hype x)

October 16, 20231 yr Aww I missed seeing what the BJSC question was before it was removed. Oh well. I don’t recall what questions I used before but interesting to see something I apparently asked before getting recycled!

I imagine it would have been an Eliza Rose landslide anyway.
