ArrDee) 10 Doja Cat - Paint The Town Red 10 Jonas Brothers - Waffle House 10 Linkin Park - Lost 10 Miley Cyrus - River 7 JENNIE - You & Me 5 Fall Out Boy - Love From The Other Side 4 Tate McRae - run for the hills Well, the people have spoken and the rich get richer, Olivia Rodrigo who already had 4 songs in the final gains a 5th as 'all-american bitch' was the only song to get a nod from more than half of the playoff voters, while we also get a third Eurovision song in the final and a fourth song for Taylor Swift. Plus we get to have both Kylie and Madonna in the final after all. A very commendable near miss for 'Liquor & Cigarettes' which has really been a serial overperformer throughout this saga but alas it doesn't quite get to the final list, missing out by 2 votes. It was largely a close vote as 4 further songs also got to double figures, but the first and last playoff qualifiers of the year both end up being relative also-rans though still picking up a few votes. Here is the spreadsheet for this if it's of any interest. I note that actually no one picked this exact set of 4 songs, with most people voting for either 1 or 2 of them (the best hiveminding goes to conorw, LewisGT, Jade, Roba. and myself who all voted for 3 out of 4, while the only true contrarian who went 0 for 4 was Jason). ~~~ Right now that's out of the way here's the final list of 40 songs that we've chosen to represent the year!
