Time for another round with five more big girl group eras from 2008!

2008 saw Girls Aloud reach their peak, in part due to Cheryl joining The X Factor. Out of Control gave them their first number one studio album, while The Promise gave the girls their first BRIT. Sugababes failed to reach the success of their previous era with Catfights and were firmly overshadowed by GA. The Pussycat Dolls returned for a second album, which consisted mostly of songs originally planned for Nicole's shelved album Her Name Is Nicole. The Saturdays launched their careers with Chasing Lights, a slow burner at the time (I vaguely remember it entering at #11, to repeak at #9 during 'Issues' success). Last on the poll is Danity Kane: though they never attempted to crack the UK, their second album reached #1 in the US and they scored a top 10 single with 'Damaged'.

The Saturdays - Girls Aloud - The Saturdays

Pussycat Dolls a close second on all 3

I went for Girls Aloud x3. Very close to opting for 'Damaged' but 'The Promise' is a real event of a song.

Chasing Lights

When I Grow Up

Up

Girls Aloud lost me during OOC and this was truly the only excellent Saturdays era.

Never listened to the albums but vote for Doll Domination given the singles were great especially I Hate This Part

Voted for the Promise as best lead single.

Up I loved at the time - I thought it was The Sats debut single until recently. But voted for I Hate This Part, such a lovely piano ballad and very nostalgic.

I'm gonna go with GA just about having the best era over The Saturdays

The Sugababes era was a disaster, PCD's comeback was disappointing (although gave us 'I Hate This Part' ) and I know like one or two songs by the other one.

Best lead: The Promise (although probably wouldn't have chosen it over The Sats in 2008, but it's aged considerably better)

Best second single: Ooooh, they're just about all considerably stronger than their respective lead single counterparts but might have to go with 'Up'!

Chasing Lights (I think it’s a more solid album than Out of Control)

The Promise

Up

'Out Of Control' Girls Aloud

'When I Grow Up' PCD

'I Hate This Part' PCD

That is a weird choice for era considering I didn't choose GA for anything else!! But those two songs + just a couple more were actually my faves from 'Doll Domination'! I love both 'Catfights' & 'Chasing Lights'. I haven't heard Danity Kane's album but I do like 'Damaged' a lot and that would actually be my 2nd choice.
