People do too much about Camila.

'Dream Girls' is lodged in my brain today. Rest of the tracks are....fine so far. I HATE interludes though.

Irrespective of if the rest of the album is any good, the sooner everyone admits 'I LUV IT' is a banger the better x
It's a great album, the most I've enjoyed a Camila album since the debut! Could do without the Drake stuff though, Camila barely feels present on HOT UPTOWN and then a random 2 minute Drake only song to follow  otherwise, I found Twentysomethings and the final few tracks really lovely, and Dade Country Dreaming was a bop.
I can see the Motomami comparison, Lidl clearance bin Too Good To Go Bag Motomami  I don’t know why she didn’t lean more into the hyperpop of I Luv It, with this end product I don’t know what she’s doing or trying to do it’s just kind of there.
I like her but the Drake features in this economy was not wise. The album is decent that aside, 7/10.
The Drake tracks both did a good 3x as many streams on day 1 on Spotify as all the other album tracks so not sure I agree with that!

I listened to the album and actually it's a pity there's not more of the I Luv It sound

I think she should have 100% pivoted to the hyperpop sound

rather than just touch it for 1 song in the album.

The album aspires to be Motomami, but it's not.

I just met her at the signing in hmv oxford street, she was so lovely talking to everyone individually and signing personalised cards, annoyingly her manager??? I think? The guy there literally pushed me aside after about 30 seconds 🙄 she was so sweet though! And the album playing on loop in the queue has made me like if more! Still her weakest effort but it’s a good album imo!

thats actually more in terms of sales than what she did last time

Rounding out the new top 10 of the Billboard 200 is Camila Cabello’s third studio effort Familia, which debuts at No. 10 with 27,500 equivalent album units earned. All three of her solo studio projects have debuted in the top 10. Of the album’s starting sum, SEA units comprise 14,500 (equaling 20.26 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs), album sales comprise 11,500 and TEA units comprise nearly 1,500.

It’s easily her weakest project to date but I really like it, twenty somethings in particular is such a lovely track, I am obsessed with it!

I liked the album on first play, but it's rather haphazard with a couple of truly "???" moments.

I felt that it was in need of a track list rejig to elevate it (for me), so I gave that a go. I'm happy with what I came up with - I think it holds together better now and the album is really growing on me!

1. pink xoxo

2. HE KNOWS (feat. Lil Nas X)

3. Chanel No.5

4. B.O.A.T.

5. pretty when i cry

6. HOT UPTOWN (feat. Drake)

7. DREAM-GIRLS

8. 305tilidie

9. Dade County Dreaming (feat. JT & Yung Miami)

10. Twentysomethings

11. June Gloom

12. I LUV IT (feat. Playboi Carti)

I had to ditch the Drake solo track (Uuugly) and the BLP Kosher spoken word track (koshi xoxo)!

pink xoxo becomes an intro, and I felt like keeping 305tilidie was necessary to help Dade County Dreaming not come across as too much of an abrupt change in tone after DREAM-GIRLS.

Songs as strong as B.O.A.T. and pretty when i cry deserved to shine towards the beginning of the album, so I bumped them up! (I'm surprised that B.O.A.T. wasn't chosen as a single for the album before its release - I think it could have been well received?). I love June Gloom too but it makes sense towards the end.

Although I really like I LUV IT, ultimately I think it was too polarising as a lead and gave the wrong impression of what 'C,XOXO' actually is as an album. I thought it worked well as a closing track for my playlist though... it's now giving "the original lead single became a Japanese exclusive bonus track". :kink:

4.3K sales in the end. Imagine without the signings, probably would have missed the t40

It only had one signing so I doubt it
