April 20th – A song you like with a numerical title

challenged by Mangø

Painting by numbers is the challenge today, courtesy of BuzzJack member #151 Mangø. There have been few songs that are purely numerical, mostly named after a year, but others do exist too. I’m sure today’s challenger can give us a bit of context about this task
and what is and isn’t an acceptable answer to the challenge to make it as accessible to as many as possible.

April 20th – A song you like with a numerical title

After my flagrant abuse of the last day's theme I'm sticking with the criteria as set - a numerical title - not just one with some numbers in there somewhere.

.

Just ooi, is it purely numerical or can it be ‘30 Days’ The Saturdays for example??

Song about food: Carrie Underwood - Stretchy Pants

Fruitcake (I'll try it)

Ambrosia (I'll try it)

Aunt Bertha's 'nana pudding with a cherry on top

Cookies (I'll have some)

Oh, Gingerbread, leave no crumbs

Guzzle down some egg nog, even though I'm 'bout to pop

Song with numerical title: Fetty Wap feat. Remy Boyz - 679

Still one of the most unexpected EDM crossover in the '20s:

Edit: I'm doing this correct, right? Is it 'numerical-only title' or 'contain numerical on the title'

Edited by Cow P

Sharon van Etten - Seventeen

a classic for indie music fans

For those who are unsure of the rules for today, and this includes myself, I’m going to allow the challenger, Mango, to provide some clarify when he’s next online. Knowing this challenge might have brought some difficulty for some, I’m hoping he will allow partial numerical titles to fit the bill but it is his challenge so he decides! ;)

April 3rd - nostalgia redo (apologies didn’t realise Las Ketchup was already chosen.

-

April 20th - numerical title

Day 20:

I'd highly recommend this musical to any pop music fan that hasn't seen it. This song could well be by Little Mix or GRL, but there are loads of other girlband reference points on the soundtrack.

For Wardy, the tagging is: SiX Studio Cast - Six

Wasn't totally sure on the theme but I think this would count as says one (1) in the title! Halloween in April 👻

April 20th - A song you like with a numerical title

Jamala - 1944

One of my favourite Eurovision winners courtesy of Ukraine in the 2016 contest

April 4th - A song you like with a US state in the title: Lana Del Rey - Florida Kilos

April 5th - A song you would have as your walk-on music: BROCKHAMPTON - BOOGIE

April 6th - A song you like that reminds you of a vacation: Alvaro Soler - Sofia

April 7th - A song you like that is instrumental with no lyrics: The Tornados - Telstar

April 8th - A song you like with a planet in the title: David Bowie - Life On Mars?

Just ooi, is it purely numerical or can it be ‘30 Days’ The Saturdays for example??

Purely numerical, no words, although I would say punctuation symbols are allowed!

Still one of the most unexpected EDM crossover in the '20s:

Edit: I'm doing this correct, right? Is it 'numerical-only title' or 'contain numerical on the title'

Well when I set this challenge my intention was only numbers, no words, but I guess I should leave it up to Wardy to specify whether he will allow the rules to be bent against my original intentions?

DAY TWENTY - Numbers

One of the Smashing Pumpkins’ best songs, coincidentally my year of birth ^_^

Changing my day one as we realised the song is Night Fever not Saturday Night Fever, that is the soundtrack oops!

I'll change day one to Rolling Stones - Ruby Tuesday

Day 20

Bryan Adams - Summer of 69
