April 10th – A song you like named after someone famous [Challenged by Ansel]

I first heard this ska song many years later in life when I was exploring the tracklisting for the fourth edition of the compilation series Now That’s What I Call Mhsic. It was a UK #9 hit in 1984 and it was released in protest against the imprisonment of Nelson Mandela by the apartheid South African government, and is considered a notable anti-apartheid song.

The Specials – Nelson Mandela

Another type of famous but...

Bonnie Elizabeth Parker (October 1, 1910 – May 23, 1934) and Clyde Chestnut "Champion" Barrow (March 24, 1909 – May 23, 1934) were American bandits who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depression. The couple was known for their bank robberies and multiple murders, although they preferred to rob small stores or rural funeral homes. Their exploits captured the attention of the American press and its readership during what is occasionally referred to as the "public enemy era" between 1931 and 1934. They were ambushed by police and shot to death in Bienville Parish, Louisiana. They are believed to have murdered at least nine police officers and four civilians.
WE'RE LIKE THE MODERN VERSION BONNIE & CLYDE

Lowkey it kinda sends me how much pop culture has glamorized them and their journey through crime

Day 10 - My mind was pretty blank, though Grace Kelly, Barbra Streisand and Clint Eastwood are great shouts. I'll go for this great cut from Bastille, gone well off them now but their debut holds some good memories x (and if you don't know who this is, you're missing something x)

I love this category, had quite a few ideas but I HAD to go with this one!

I seen Beyonce at Burger King what a classic!

Bauhaus - Bela Lugosi's Dead

Gothic classic referencing the horror film actor. I'm getting a lot of mileage out of the 70s for the past few days!
