Missed day one but all the songs I thought of were already taken!

For day 2 have some Aitana from Operación Triunfo (the Spanish version of Fame Academy which is somehow still going strong)

April 2nd – A song by someone who appeared on a TV Talent show

Mary Hopkin - Those Were The Days

Going even more retro today with this beautiful 60s #1 from Mary Hopkin. She appeared on Opportunity Knocks, catching the eye of Twiggy and subsequently Paul McCartney.

Day 02: A song by someone who appeared in a TV talent show

Leona Lewis - Naked

Was going to choose something by either Kelly or Loreen. But I think I'll save them for future dates.

One of the best song I discovered in 2018, despite the reasonable hate toward his BGT cover:

The song had a huge Spotify chart impact from Indonesian Idol's Ahmad Abdul a.k.a. Zanmatony's ABDA:

April 1st – A song you like with a day in the title: TOMORROW X TOGETHER - Thursday’s Child Has Far To Go

April 2nd - A song by someone who appeared on a TV Talent show: ZEROBASEONE - Yura Yura

The best part about K-pop when it comes to the reality TV scene is that not only are talent/survival shows rampant but different people from different survival shows can come together in one group. It isn’t the case for ZB1 since the group themselves were formed through one of these shows (Boys Planet) but let it be known I was spoiled for choice with this genre.

This is one of their Japanese singles.

Day 1

Boomtown Rats - I don’t like Mondays

Day 2

Alex Parks - Maybe thats what it takes

Some great choices so far!

Loads of great options to pick from here, but going to go for one of the assorted Christian singers who became famous on the USA Voice:

April 2nd – A song by someone who appeared on a TV Talent show [Challenged by PeteFromLeeds]

When I thought about this challenge there were many names I could go to, some well known and others less so. The choice I made is a singer who appeared on Pop Idol but wasn’t able to win her series. Regardless, Simon Cowell signed her to his label afterwards.

Sarah Whatmore – When I Lost You

Who remembers her from Fame Academy 2003?

Loved this

I'm so tempted to change my choice for Day 2... is that allowed? (I can squash Leona in at a later date, I'm sure but wanna make sure one specific song gets mentioned and this is a good day to do it!)

Oh yeah sure, there’s nothing in the rules about this.
