30K?

when Dua was #1 she was 10.5K behind

41,204 Dua Lipa - Dance the Night [526 CDs, 3,737 cassettes, 1,295 downloads, 35,646 streaming]

30,785 Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer

when Billie was #1 she was just 14K behind

45,488 Billie Eilish - What Was I Made For? [7,787 cassettes, 1,099 downloads, 36,602 streaming]

31,607 Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer

when Olivia was #1 she was 14K behind

43,211 Olivia Rodrigo - vampire [4,675 CDs, 8,606 cassettes, 909 downloads, 29,021 streaming] [total: 352,467]

28,896 Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer

She could easily have done 10K against Dua, 10K is nothing for Taylor if she had physical singles for Cruel Summer, totally doable

'Cruel Summer' was never that close to #1, she'd have needed like 30k physicals to get there.

Slight exaggeration sales were lower then too

'Cruel Summer' was ~26k behind the one week that it was at #2 which I guess is what Aly is thinking of (but yes, it was closer sales wise on other weeks where it was lower than #2).

"Staredd" getting promo from Spotify messing up the artist attribution for Drake :cheeseblock: (I think it was just an unauthorised upload of the leak x)

IS JOJO SWINA THE WOMAN FROM HUNGER GAMES?!?! JOHANNA?!?!?!

Ooops, yeah. Well I suppose at least I'm happy to admit when I'm wrong.

Amazing for Taylor!! I really love "Fortnight", so happy to see it doing huge numbers.

To prove this chart is BS they have David guetta at #1😫

It's usually best to wait until Sunday/Monday for checking new releases as it takes a bit of time for them to be shown properly (I have a feeling the Amazon might be some sort of rolling chart). Also Taylor's streams are split between two versions of the album which won't be combined unfortunately!

well at least there won’t be any Taylor is flopping discourse this week now !!

There will be if she's not top 3 singles and I believe she won't be. :P

also 'The Last Bit of Us' by Dean Lewis flopping in all the other platforms but it's #16 there.

Amazon always proving they're right. -_-

Just realized that we will find out how many Taylor Swift fans there are using Spotify by keeping eye on the monthly listeners number of Florence! :magic: Currently it's 19.5 million.

Only 26.1 million WTF??!??!!

I mean HOW MANY TIMES a regular Swiftie listened to that album yesterday lmao... Florida got 14.46 million streams.

Edited by Sour Candy

Implying there wouldn't be a pretty sizeable number of Taylor Swift fans who already listened to a Florence song in the last month... :P
Wouldn’t Taylor’s own monthly listeners be a good enough indication?
There is now a ‘like that’ remix with Kanye west if that counts with the original and it gets on to streaming platforms it’ll definitely ruin Taylor getting a clean sweep of the top 5 in US, unsure about here

In amongst Swiftmania I just noticed that Raffaella Carrà, a legend in Italy (who sadly passed away in 2021), is attached to a rising dance song at #127 - that was definitely not on my 2024 bingo card!

If that progresses a lot then her only U.K. hit was back in 1978 so quite a substantial gap

“ Taylor Swift's 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT' aiming for #1 debut on the Billboard 200 with biggest streaming week in US history (800 million+) and over 2 million total units first week (via @HITSDD).”
but it's the same exact situation as 1 year ago and nothing happened then

it's not that suddenly their fanbase increased last wee

What happened a year ago?
