Well i've voted (for Lib Dem), there was a Lib Dem near the polling stations and in my post box on my return home were 2 Lib Dem leaflets :D

For once in my life I'm in agreement with The Sun - every party except Labour are either lunatics or a joke so the vote has to go to Labour.

 

 

I voted some independent guy they need 5% or something to get their deposit back they probably will they’ve campaigned like crazy and I wouldn’t vote for keir starmer. Was a lot of people there though much more than the last time I voted

Voted this morning. As I was leaving someone at my polling station took a seizure so they had to temporarily close it whilst she got medical attention. Hopefully she was okay.

Just voted. The station itself wasn't very busy but I doubt that's an indicator.

 

I'm intrigued as to how many votes they'll have in total. The 2019 general election was approximately 32 million, with the 2015 election being 30.7 million, and 2010 being 29.7 million.

 

The EU Referendum was 33.6 million.

It should be a fun night watching the results come in. It feels like so long ago since there was a general election, I wasn't able to stay up for the 2019 election because of having to go into the workplace the following morning but I'm WFH this time so I'll be up for most of the night.

 

I don't know what the record for most seats won is but I think Labour are going to dismantle the Torries.

My (entirely tactical) vote is in, I am hopeful that the signs could switch this time. Weirdly for a Conservative borough and historically a strong one, I've received no leaflets from them but one from Labour, Lib Dems, Green, Reform and even The Climate Party! I never thought we'd ever turn from Conservative so that'll be quite surreal x

 

Can't stay up sadly due to work (though it is our work barbeque so that will hopefully be fitting to celebrate Tory defeat), but will turn the exit poll on at least for hopefully some much better news than last election x

Does anyone else have this irrational fear that the exit poll is going to come out with absolutely no resemblance whatsoever to the recent opinion polls and MRPS? Mainly with the Tories being significantly higher. So used to seeing the Tories as the largest party it almost feels unbelievably that they might possibly come 3rd.

I'm driving it away with rationales that if anything polls might be overestimating the amount of people still supporting the Tories.

I mainly fear/think the exit poll will just show a 'normal' landslide, rather than the <100 seats for the Tories some of the polls are predicting, possibly just below/above that of 1997, which could have the narrative spun as a 'slight disappointment' for Labour.

 

I'm telling the logician in me that if it's wrong to the point of a hung parliament, it would be a polling scandal worse than 1992 x

The results aren't done by 2pm - they're working on it right up until 21.45 - Curtice just said they normally have an idea of who's winning by 2pm not that the final results are done by then.

 

The Tories will just put their X in the box and keep quiet about, given how much vitriol is being directed at anyone who openly says they support them. That's why I'm fearful of a shy Tory effect.

Yeah it’s usually 4am when the bulk of the results are in and then any stragglers by 6/7.

I voted with my heart in the end and went with Plaid. I so wanted to vote Labour but they weren’t giving me enough this time. They’ve shown no care for Wales whatsoever and have backed our corrupt first minister. I was trying to turn a blind eye but then Starmer had to go at the Trans community worse than ever before and I just couldn’t. My seat is usually Labour so I’m guessing my vote will have made little difference there.

After voting Labour multiple times in the past, I've voted for the Green Party for the first time ever. I'm DEFINITELY not voting for the Tories, that's for sure. However, Keir Starmer has COMPLETELY ruined the Labour Party by being a genocide-supporting transphobe. I can no longer support Labour, unless they find someone that is just like Jeremy Corbyn or Zarah Sultana.

Gonna sit here with my delusional belief that the Lib Dems will officially become the Opposition.

 

If not I'm still predicting around 70 seats for them.
